CO Adams County Jane Does - Unidentified remains of woman, two babies

I came across this researching another case and only found ONE other reference to this case (a site called Unidentified Wiki, I tried unsuccessfully to link below, is where I got the case name). I thought it might be related to one of the funeral homes in Colorado that had been raided but based on the location where the remains were found (according to NamUs) I don’t think that’s the case. How has this not been all over the news?!?!

From NamUs: July 12, 2023 - Aurora, Colorado - Unidentified female remains were located in a casket along with two other unidentified sets of remains. This infant female and another (UP107176) were in the same casket and are both unidentified with no mention of age, location of death, or jurisdiction.

Very unclear. They were all buried in the same casket or the babies had their own? My guess is historical, either someone opened a vault and removed two caskets and dumped them or they were washed up in a flood or some other natural disaster. Or this was a small farm cemetery that was discovered.

While twins are still at a bigger risk of premqturity and stillbirth, before csections and ultrasound monitoring, many twin births ended in one or both babies and often the mom too dying.
I guess that is the case here.

You’re right, NamUs made it sound like there was an adult with the two babies and the other source just mentioned the babies. I searched the county website referenced in the NamUs contact section (Jefferson Co. interestingly) and they have 5 other cases listed but not this one. Adams Co. nor Douglas or Arapahoe Co. had the case listed either. The location where the remains were found is an office building near the airport. I’m still curious since they found the remains in 2023, I may do a FOIA request.
