All 32 people on board were taken to hospitals in Lismore, Tweed Heads, Ballina and Byron Bay for assessment and 13 were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The soldiers were assisting the community in the aftermath of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred when the incident happened at Tregeagle, just outside Lismore.
Two soldiers are in a serious condition.
