All 32 people on board were taken to hospitals in Lismore, Tweed Heads, Ballina and Byron Bay for assessment and 13 were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Twelve defence force personnel are being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after two Australian Defence Force (ADF) military trucks rolled in flood-affected northern New South Wales.

The soldiers were assisting the community in the aftermath of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred when the incident happened at Tregeagle, just outside Lismore.

Two soldiers are in a serious condition.
