Wow - that was a fascinating documentary - thanks for posting the link Schuby! Is there a follow up? Be interesting to know what happened to some of the women.

:seeya: DT

Yeah, it would be, unfortunately I don't think so. Real interesting group of characters though!

I dont' know if this has been discussed on here before, but remember her story of Travis in the car...traffic jam...he got really angry and was hitting the wheel and yelling and cursing at other drivers...she said it was the "first time she saw what he was capable of"...........and did you guys notice ALV talked about ROAD RAGE in one of her side stories.....I think she said something like the abusers have a lot of anger and sometimes people see it in other circumstances. That was when I knew Jodi had either heard ALV talking about that, or she had read it in ALV book, and used it in her story.

We have seen it all, Friend. We have to all remain cool here as to not get any more TO's...(speaking for self)...Some of us on here have experienced "true" DV and ALV was a truly horrid witness for the defense...IMO

A late Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and anyone who has ever "mothered" a child. My mother died when I was young. I was lucky enough to have other women who provided the mothering I craved. Their importance in my life cannot be overstated and I can never thank them enough.

And as sleuthers, I thought you might appreciate the following. My 8 year old daughter is always so excited about giving me a present and she LOVES giving me hints. She loves it even more when she thinks she has me completely stumped. Here was our conversation today:

Me: "What did you get me for Mother's Day??!! Give me a hint! PLEASE!"
E: "Okay. One hint. It's something shiny that you wear on your ears. That is ALL I'm
telling you! Don't ask me again!
Me: "I know exactly what it is! It's a pair of earmuffs! Right?! Right?!"
E: "HAHA! You are WRONG! One more hint, but that is IT! It is something shiny that you
wear on your ears and it's a kind of jewelry. That is ALL I'm telling you!"
Me: "OMG. I can't believe it. You got me a bulldog puppy with a sparkly leash! And the
leash goes around his neck, which is near his ears, that's why you're talking about
ears! Right?! Right?! I can't believe I'm getting a puppy!"
E: "WRONG AGAIN! You are NEVER gonna guess what it is!"

Turns out, it was earrings (who would have guessed?!). She gives the best clues!

:floorlaugh: That is too cute.

She'll come up with iVersion 4.0 and say that she was following the advice of her lawyers throughout the trial and continued to lie, but now she is ready to tell the truth of why she killed Travis and what really happened .. that's what I'm hoping for anyway :)

I'd love to think the verdict shook her to her core and she would tell a good deal of the truth to try to save her life, but I don't expect it, I think we'll get Why Travis Died Excuse #4562. :(

I'm getting the impression that you don't like her.
I was listening to HLN on the radio driving to my mom's today and just got angry all over again! You know what also bugs me? IMO she does not believe in God. Her statement about she'd hate to have to sit in front of God after committing such a heinous crime (can't remember the exact words) proved it to me. She used Travis and his faith to get close to him and ultimately to hurt him. I can't explain how truly disgusting I find her trying on religion like a hat that she can change without a second thought. I know she will be judged someday for the horrific things she's done and also, I believe, for the hateful way she's used Travis' faith against him.
(whew - I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Thanks for letting me vent, Sleuthers!)

Oh I'm not suggesting it will be an honest version .. this is Jodi :floorlaugh:

Oh, come on. Tell us how you really feel!

:floorlaugh: I didn't notice your trademark protection. Good move! I know there is competition; I recall Madam K. referring to "fauxg", for example. So, you can't be too careful.

What's up for grabs for trademark protection if anyone's interested:

oh the iorny
clutching my pearls
fauxg
you can't make this up

She's not lying about the "catholic priest" photo. It's too tame to be a lie. But the stuff about the bruises are definitely lies, especially her claims about a phantom man who witnessed all these bruises. How convenient that she can't name him. Trying to track him down would be like trying to track down a real Easter Bunny. That's why Nurmi didn't waste his time. And LMAO about her friends and siblings who witnessed all this abuse!!! Let me get this straight, Nurmi wasted the court's time to call Lisa to the stand for the sole purpose of testifying about an email involving sex, called Daniel Freeman to the stand to testify about a verbal argument that he started, but didn't bother to call these witnesses to physical violence for his own reasons? I think we know why, Jodi. It's lies.

Matt M. is one of the 'witnesses' to her 'awful bruises ', supposedly. They had their story all cooked up and ready to go. But once he messed up by admitting he would lie for her, he was no longer witness material. And she didn't have anyone else available to lie for her, evidently.

As for the picture, I have two or three funny family pix of my DH chasing naked toddlers around our house and yard. Neither of my kids liked to wear clothes as toddlers. And they both liked to play a game of running away from bath time and seeking 'freedom.' So I could post that picture of my DH chasing a naked child and say the same thing, if I was a sociopath, that is.

I've often wondered why detective Flores took that route, the gunshot first. Either it was intentional to mislead the murderer or maybe he just felt like some, that she would have shot first due to Travis being male and therefore typically stronger. However it came down, the murderer bought that position hook, line, and sinker...

Hook, line & sinker, she did, 'charlie! And nice to see you! :seeya:

Think about it, Peeps.... If you had a gun & a knife close by, and you truly were in fear for your life, wouldn't you use the little 25 first? Stop him from getting up and choking you or punching you in the face. Slow him down so you could get the he// out of there. That's what I would have done every time.

But no,

Even if you didn't kill him w/that one shot, it wouldn't matter. (You would have had to have been looking/shooting down at him for the bullet trajectory to make sense.) So you shoot him again. Oops, now you are in real trouble because the cheap little piece of carp gun jammed -- he's getting up and you can't let him do that -- you want to hurt him, make him sorry he told you to get out of his life. Don't let him come after you. Now you get the knife and you go to work on him. Hurt him, hurt him.

JA wanted to hurt him & make him pay, to make him suffer as long as possible. She's having flashes of her man Travis and that little snit Mimi on the beach at Cancun/him calling her a 🤬🤬🤬🤬/he and Mimi kissing at Cancun/he called her a sociopath/he told her to get out of his life/that perfect little Mormon wife-type. Make him pay; make him hurt like he hurt you. Just. Don't.Stop.Until.He.Is.Dead.

And you're pleased that JM has helped you start spinning your story. What a simple-minded idiot he is.

So it did come across like that in person too?

It sure did. The former Victims Advocate De Larosa did tone down her look somewhat over time but at the beginning dressed every day like she was going out clubbing. 5 - 6 in stillettos, low cut cleavage, long dangly earrings, etc. Then even how she would approach JA, lean in, whisper in her ear, make seductive looking eye contact, it was VERY uncomfortable to watch.

To me they looked like a couple of college girls trying to turn on some guy with less than subtle suggestions of a 3-way. I'm serious..that's exactly what it looked like to me. Creepy.

If Jodi believed in God she would have said that death is the ultimate judgment instead she said freedom. Jodi is an Agnostic, always has been IMO :)

I'm claiming "You can't make this stuff up™". Done deal.

Just think...JA is under suicide watch in Maricopa County - Stripped naked in a padded cell

According to MCO website that I posted last night - What might she be feeling now? http://www.mcso.org/JailInformation/Operations/Default.aspx?t=CentralIntake

Snip: Additionally Central Intake has 10 safe cells for inmates with severe psychological issues and are deemed to be suicidal or homicidal. The safe cells are completely padded and offer no fixtures which an inmate can harm themselves or anyone else with.
