I wonder how long they are required to hold her...seems like it would be 48 to 72 hours unless the person continued exhibiting symptoms of being suicidal.

The local news there said 72 hours.

She's in jail, though, so maybe it's different? If she's genuinely suicidal <snort> I would think they couldn't just throw her back in the general population. On the other hand, I don't imagine wardens can slap somebody in the psych ward forever, just because they want to. So IDK.

She looks like a real sweetheart. I haven't had a cat for a number of years. Always like them, but my last cat nearly bankrupted me. He was not aggressive in the slightest, but he WAS one big mother and all the other cats in the neighborhood felt compelled to start something. Sticking with dogs from now on.

She is but she's a hot mess! The quirkiest cat I've ever had or known. Keeps me entertained. :giggle:

i just don't understand why this bothers you, correct me if i am wrong but i think the only person juan called an outright liar was jodi, as far as the experts, juan let them tell their stories, then would bring in documenation to refute it, and ask them something to the effect well if this is true, then what you said was not what happened. juan didn't and couldn't just call ppl liars or accuse the esperts of their inconsistencies w/ out documented truth - he didn't make any thing up - and juan proved ALV and dr samuels were less than truthful, way beyond just being biases, so why shouldn't juan point these facts out??

And, after all isn't that Juan's job. lol

Coudnt they let her come to court and then right back in psych ward if they were only worried about suicide?

Tell your kids not to lie. The before trial, during it and conviction of Jodi on 1st Degree Murder. She's wilting. Now to find that shot of her in a padded safety suit...

I don't think she has a chance of ever learning she was wrong and admitting it completely. Ever. My hopes are she will get what the family agrees with and if that's the DP, I agree too. She shows no remorse but for herself. Scarey person and evil with many faces. Many times I thought she had dual or multiple personalities but it's just one evil person guiding who she should be next.

My thoughts are with the family & my sorrow is with what Travis endured. He threw red flags and told friends she was a stalker. He was too nice to Jodi Arias. The only domestic violence has been proven by Jodi and her killing of Travis. RIP Travis, your family has it, along with Juan. Most importantly, whatever comes next in JA's defense, the jury has your back too. I'm so glad about the conviction.

Possible cold sore next we see here. Fair warning.

I shouldn't be surprised any more but still, it continues to astonish me that she is so devoid of humanity that she cannot lie effectively. She doesnn't understand that a normal person forced into killing in self-defense - especially a loved one - would CARE. Would mourn, would feel extreme sorrow at having had to commit such an act. Would certainly try to convince a jury and prosecutor of their sincerity instead do feeding their own ego by sparring and smirking. I think she can only fake normal behavior in very small bits. She constantly needs someone to emulate so she can play a role. She has no idea how very weird she came across during her initial media sweep where she was pushing the ninja story but failed to emote. Or even really talk about Travis at all; it was all about her. I shiver at her creepy, faux-serene smile as she recounted what a great person he was. Not a tear, let alone a hint that she had ended his life ( though it was obvious she was lying. She has no idea how OFF her portrayal was).

On the stand, she constantly spoke of him in the present tense, which i still cannot understand.

We will never truly be able to figure her out. She is fake, a bad copy of a human. A bad replica. Is a person born completely defective like that? I have a MORBID FASCINATION...

I'm only guessing, but if she has shown signs of outbursts relating to suicide, then no I wouldn't think they could take her to court. On the other hand, we've seen her show up seriously medicated, so my guess is that's what we'll see on Wednesday.

I have to admit I watched it again yesterday. Won't say it warms my heart, but it is very satisfying.
