"especially cruel" = 27 stabs, throat slit, shot to head against nude, cornered, defenseless victim

Wonder what kind of reaction or non-reaction the convicted will have when Dr. Horn is describing what she inflicted on Travis... I can see a D grade Meryl Streep type performance-- fake huffing and puffing, dry sobs, and creative peeks at the photos.

She'll hang herself alright. Monster in the flesh.

Yes, Jodi - Travis did suffer immensely. He was not killed straightaway, witnessed by the palm prints on the bathroom sink, the blood spatter on the mirror - while you were stabbing him in the back and head, the "rainbow" pattern on the wall while he desperately tried to get away from you. Then the cut to the throat, then the shot to the head.

If that isn't cruel and unusual punishment - what is?

I want to cry....

OK...please don't hate me for saying this.

I am worried that this "extremely cruel" thing is going to somehow backfire.

No doubt Travis suffered. Clearly. However, the whole "62 seconds" that was hammered home during the first part...I mean, it's clear he was dead in that amount of time.

What if the jury thinks that not that long to suffer??

Did you see that heavy sigh from Juan? Camera caught him at just the right moment. Poor guy - this can't be easy. He is on now.

From WAT 1 :

5s Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

The judge is done, Martinez is up for his opening statement. "She made sure she killed him by stabbing him over, and over again" #JodiArias

Go Juan !
