I just don't see Keyes abducting Samantha and then 5 hours later robbing a random car for a credit card. Don't forget Keyes then leaves on vacation the next morning, Feb 2, returning two weeks later. Then two weeks after that - a month after the card is stolen - he uses it for the first time. Really???

Anyone else find it odd that JK will not be in the court room?

A little odd. Apparently his rationale is that the presence of people advocating for Sam's return (himself included) could somehow foul up the court proceedings. I have no idea what he means by that. I guess maybe he's thinking if the courtroom turns into a circus atmosphere it will somehow detract from actually finding Samantha? :waitasec:

@GutFeeling just read that, again, weird! I wonder what the "serious consequences" he was referring to? By the police or other means....always interesting.............

There goes his controlling again lol I want to say more but I keep hearing "If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all... Thumper is always in my head lol

When do you guys think we will know what the real charges are?

I think Keyes is a player in this for sure, I just don't know how or why, but I think he will face new charges soon (my bank robbery included) and APD are wanting to find Samantha. they will give him a little at a time and make deals with him till he tells them where Sam is. moo

I think I just answered I have no clue in a long format LOL

I do think he will be facing more charges very soon. Everything may have been sealed in Texas to get him up there quicker. There has to be more involved. Keyes needed money and a lot of it quickly.moo

So I believe that JK had said Duane and SK had been together for a couple years, but Duane was just divorced less than a year ago. Not that I care deeply, but I think it gives a little credence to what CB and his mother said about him being a cheater, maybe more of what they said is true about the family dynamics.

Yeah the pic in the bank robbery looks to much alike I think what gives that away and in the story about the February 28th withdraw they said he had white shoes on and white shoes found in the car white shoes in the bank robbery. Not sure why that sticks out so much to me I hate white shoes and if your in dark clothes why wear white shoes.

Divorced?? Duane?
I apparently missed some things in the past couple of days. And I thought JK said they'd been together for 10 months, not a couple years..
Where did you find out he was divorced?

He was married? I thought he was only 18?

He IS only 18.. will be 19 in May. I'm confused!

It looks like his father was divorced in 2011 according to Court View.

OMG! I am SO sorry...I don't want to start rumors, I was absolutely wrong about Duane! Deleted! I looked it up on my phone last night and the way it came up, it looked like his DOB! I rechecked on my laptop, my sincere apologies, I feel so bad :( I do not want to spread rumors...I'm glad it wasn't him....

Don't feel bad, honest mistake :)

I was just thinking about the bank robbery. Texas had every right to keep him but obviously have allowed him back to Alaska. They must have some pretty decent stuff on him for that to happen. I can't find anywhere that the robber was found .... another part of the sealed documents I guess.

And it still makes no sense that this guy has no record (that I can see) in Alaska. All of a sudden he starts robbing banks and abducting people. There is no sense if no ransom was given. He needed that money real quick. moo

Can one of the Alaskans help please? His truck has those big side things on it, is that common up there? That really caught my attention because I have not seen one down here where pickups are like noses, everybody has one. Ours just have gun racks LOL I'd remember that truck as soon as I saw it.

That's a truck box for tools. Keeps the bed open for lumber, etc. Mounts on each side of the truck instead of in the bed of the truck. Sort of like this

Yes, truck boxes and ladder racks... They are all over the place... Though I will note that his truck boxes appear to be a custom job...but still not too unusual...

Hi akmama! We have links to laws in AK & in specific Anchorage I believe in the first thread which in fact states it's legal up to a certain amount. It's only illegal in being over that amount and to selling it. You couldn't smoke a joint walking down the street but you can in the privacy of your own home. Distribution and/or sale is illegal but you could legally grow your own up to a certain amount. Definitely legal. I couldn't believe it when I first read it, but it's true. Then again, call me crazy bc I don't even smoke ciggies, but I think weed being illegal is ridiculous bc look at what all these greedy med docs did to our country by legally subscribing known addictive mind & body altering narcotics to our citizens. It's sick.

I don't know about other states, but here the cops won't bother with someone who is merely smoking weed, and just has part of a baggie. Jails are overcrowded as it is. I see all kinds of arrests for possession with intent to sell, but very rarely for just possession.
A cop told me a few years ago that smoking it is not illegal, but possession is. For the life of me, I could never figure out how you could smoke the stuff and not be in possession of it, but I guess that means like someone gave you a joint, and the cops found you smoking it, they would just ignore that. But if you had several baggies of it, and were out in public, they can assume you're going to sell it to somebody.
I hope this makes sense, I'm barely awake and haven't had a full pot of coffee yet.

Sorry that I'm kind of late responding to this post just now, but I'm just trying to catch up and this is as far as I've made it so far. I know that maybe this idea has already been addressed in the next few pages if so then nevermind and carry on...but if not...I was thinking that it's possible that IK was actually the guy in the truck that was said to be approximately 50ft away from the coffee shop around the time that she was taken but reportedly didn't see a thing? Maybe LE weren't buying that from the start and that is why he/his house in AK was being surveilled before the stolen card was used. If so, that would put IK at the scene at the time of the abduction.

I don't have a link for the any of the original reports on this but it was a detail released by LE within the first few days of the investigation and seemed to be nothing so it was quickly dropped from most discussions.

I think you could be on to something!
