I don't blame him to some extent. There are a lot of, um, slow people on that page who can't seem to comprehend that the police have the truck and thus are not searching for the truck itself, but instead want to know where the truck had been in the last couple of months.

I think LE and these dumb press releases are partially to blame. When they released the pics of the truck yesterday, they didn't explain that they had the truck in evidence.

I personally don't think IK is the only one involved in this case. Wasn't it said that he left on vacation on 2/2/12? If this is the case, then who was looking after Samatha? IK doesn't strike me as a person who is a rapist or a killer. Wasn't it said that IK's daughter was with him in Texas? If so, how could she miss so much school? That poor little girl.

They must have found Sam's DNA in the truck. That is why they are "intensely interested" in where the truck has been, because they knew she was in it at one point. If they can figure out where IK went in the truck maybe they find SK.

I don't know if anyone else picked it up today, but it was said in one of the articles that IK's voice quivered as he spoke in court today. Sounds like he's scared sh@%less. I hope they rattle the heck out of him.

If IK was a serial rapist/killer or someone who routinely defrauds people, etc...wouldn't he be highly confidant in court? Sociopaths tend to feel very justified about their behaviors...

I don't think that's what this case is about. It's much more complicate. Yes, there was a robbery at the coffee shack, but so far no hint of rape or murder. Thank goodness!

I don't know why his actions should surprise anyone. He's been like this since the beginning. He wants help but on his terms and you are suppose to abide by his rules. Its just like the reward fund, he wants people to donate to the cause, but then he tells everybody to mind their own business when they ask him about the funds and how they are being spent. IMO he's been out of control from the very beginning and he hasn't changed.

I am NOT a mod, but FB for the person missing can be linked. No one can c/p from ANY FB nor twitter (unless it is MSM and a link is provided).

You can paraphrase with a link. Check with a MOD though to be sure. Several moderations have already taken place with name calling and quoting the name calling. JMO and FWIW.

I still don't think it is all that complicated, IMO...unless someone knows for sure that Samantha was an informant or something. I think it was about money, but became about sex once he saw Samantha, and then, probably and unfortunately, had to get ride of her as a witness.

Clearly, LE is doing everything possible to NOT say what they have on him re: Samantha...maybe they have signs that she is not alive and don't want to say until they know for sure. Maybe they don't want him to know yet what they have, as once they charge him with something else, they have to show their evidence, I believe. But I really don't think Samantha is being cared for, or being held prisoner, by someone. I wish I did, but I don't. JMO

You are right. There is NO warrant for an abduction. So far we haven't seen LE show any connection of how Keyes caused Samantha to be missing, except to say they think he's 'involved'.

Samantha's dad is a victim here per WS TOS. He's not a POI and there you go. IF anyone donates to ANY fund ... then you lose the power to control your $ since you willing gave it over. IF someone wants a "say so" over the $ they donate, then don't donate. JMO and FWIW.

There has been no MSM reports of Samantha's dad doing anything wrong/illegal/unsavory. Everything is coming from "comments" under articles, twitter or FB which are all RUMORS per TOS here at WS. HTH.

I know that is the norm but for this case it is different. I'll shoot Bessie a message since she has been in here a fair bit and ask Bessie pm'd me the other day and it was still banned at that stage. There was a lot of arguing going on, it only applies to this case as far as i know

In all honesty, if this man was going to work every day while his daughter was missing there would be just as big an uproar. As you said the money was given freely, whenever we donate to any charity we rarely find out where the money went (well I do because I was angry at a huge charity i believed in lol but that is another story)

Most seasoned posters know the rules and don't need a reminder. If you have a problem with a post, just alert and let the mods take care of it. Hope that helps.

ETA, there have been several MSM articles that make me question JK's judgement in regards to his daughter's well being. I'll provide links if you wish.

According to the original KTRE Channel 9 story, a trooper monitoring traffic along Highway 59 south of Lufkin pulled Keyes over on March 13th after a traffic violation. Once Keyes was detained in the parking lot of the Cotton Patch Restaurant, the trooper discovered that he was a suspect in the kidnapping of Samantha Koenig. The FBI, Texas Rangers and DPS were called in as backup. After searching Keyes' vehicle, investigators found enough evidence to arrest him for suspected kidnapping; he was also searched and then taken into custody for questioning.

In order to search Keyes vehicle, Keyes either gave permission (was stated he was belligerent/non cooperative ... paraphrasing ) or a warrant was obtained/issued. Cannot just willy nilly search a vehicle after a "routine" traffic stop.
