Question...

1) Could it have been snowing in a downpour & that's why DT stated "it was a mess", meaning a mess trying to get there or even pull near the coffee hut?

2) If it was dark, even though the parking lot is well lit, the snow berms were piled high & snow was falling...so it could still have appeared dark near where Common Grownds is. Is it possible that somebody came up to the door, stood off to the side without Sam realizing, knocked...then she answered the door thinking it was DT?

3) Is there a monitor inside of the coffee hut that shows what the surveillance cams pick up?

I posted links waaaaay back that provided info for Alaska SAR. They have experience to search in snow, even avalanches. Their dogs help rescuers find victims in avalanches. An avalanche would be way deeper than any snow fall on a road or berms, etc. So I'm wondering if they've gotten involved, especially since so much money has been collected that maybe a portion of that reward fund could be used by experienced searchers to actually go out there & search for Sam.

Also, since the people that love Sam the most would do anything in their power to bring her home, have they contacted Texas EQUUSearch or Klaas Kids?

Also on some missing posters they were showing a Harley Davidson purse with leopard stripes. Why show what kind of purse she might of had if the purse was found left behind in the hut? I think she took her stuff with her which would mean that her phone was likely with her also.

When the fb page first went up, I posted a couple of comments asking about her clothing that night, asking why no one, ADP or her friends, were putting out a description of what she was wearing. Her friends were talking about the purse at the time, had even put a description of it on the fliers, but still nothing about her clothing (which I still do not understand). After my questions went unanswered a couple of different times, I emailed the admins directly, asking why no media reports were releasing a description of what she was last wearing, which would've been visible in the tape (seemed to me a very key piece that they just neglected and it didn't make sense). They emailed back with the description of the green jersey, black leggings, etc. but they said they'd been wrong about her purse. They said it had been left behind and the police had collected it as evidence.
I wonder if there might've been something incriminating in the purse, something the opening baristas felt would get her into trouble, so they hid it from the owner at first?? Just a thought. Might explain why there was so much back and forth about her belongings.

I think the problem is no one knows where to start searching. There were alot of searches in the beginning. But at this point should could be out of Anchorage. Or in a house. It is hard to know where to start.

I have been reading through these posts since near the beginning of this debacle but have kept quiet as I didn't really feel I had much to add. A few observations/opinions that might help.
First (and I cannot find the link- sorry), at one point a former coworker (I believe from HoH) noted that there was no way this was staged. That Sam would never leave her dog. This struck home with me. In my work, I get to observe the relationship between people and their pets. You would be surprised at how attached people become to their pets- especially if they have had trouble in their lives. Pets offer non-judgemental support and the fact that this coworker felt strongly enough to mention this speaks volumes. Second: I think from the news reports, etc. that Sam was surrounded (at least at times) by people that were trouble. I won't go into the rumors. But I think this has been established (and fwiw, Anchorage does have quite the seamy underbelly). Third, in case it has not been said already: the window to the door of that coffee shack is big. Like almost half the door big. When I saw it last, I didn't notice a curtain or any type of mechanism that would board it over at night (but maybe it just wasn't up)-- my point being that it was a bad storm the night Sam disappeared. Someone could likely see in just fine, but her ability to see much outside may have been compromised.
IMO: This wasn't faked, she likely knew the person who took her, the person either waited for her to take the trash out or actually knocked- maybe she let him in (and maybe she expected this person...from the "them" slip up from her BF). Not sure about the obscured cameras, but I think she was seen to react in a surprised/afraid manner and was then abducted.
I think that there is way more to this story than we know. I am made hopeful by JKs remarks that seem to indicate he has reason to believe she is alive. I hope this is the case. Keep hoping for a positive development. What I don't understand is why, if this is potentially about drugs/money owed, is why the reward $ hasn't brought her back. Though perhaps she has seen all of them...and can id them.

I do not understand that either. I am thinking the motive must not be money at this point? But I pretty much agree with your entire post! Thanks!

Good point AK81. How many of these cubby places does this hut have for the workers to put their personal items? It is not like they have a locker room where every employee can place their personal items in their own personal locker and no one would ever know if someone left their items behind. The person opening in the morning had to put their coat, purse, ect somewhere and most likely on top of Sam's items if they were left behind.

On top of the strange things like the place being a mess, the cups of coffee left on the counter (which I think she was making a cup for her and Duane to take with them when he arrived), the alarm not being set, wouldn't you think the opening person would have found it really strange if she noticed Sam's coat, purse, ect were left behind in the cubby? That should have raised a RED flag I would think.

ETA: The opening person gave all kinds of details as to what she found. If the items were left behind don't you think she would have also said that in her interview.

Any reporters reading this? GO do some investigating and ask LE, the person who opened the hut that morning or JK what was left behind in the hut and if her phone has ever been found. If LE won't tell you then let us know. Publish your finding in the paper, no need to post is here, we will find it in the article you write, we are really good at things like that. TIA

Of course everyone hopes she is alive...but I always find it difficult to imagine scenarios whereby kidnappers take care of the victim for weeks on end, especially one as "old" as Samantha, who could obviously describe and possibly identify her kidnapper(s). And if this was about money, it seems they would have had a plan to either request ransom or arrange a pick-up of a reward. I fear this was more personal, an attack on Samantha in "pay back" of some perceived wrong by her, something like that, which would not bode well for her. JMO

I am not sure I agree with the personal attack on her or payback. But I have thought maybe a attack or payback against someone she is close with. I dont know. JMO

Let's go back to the hit & run... Was that all worked out completely through court? Ie: Did insurance cover the damage to her truck as well as the other vehicle? Where was Sam working during this time?

I unfortunately agree. Of course I would like to believe she will be found alive, but it's unusual in these cases after such a long stretch unless there has been a demand for money, which it does not seem that there has been. A staged abduction would actually be best case scenario for her being alive. I hope at this point they are able to find her at all....

Sam expressed that there was a guy that gave her the creeps. Who said that? Was it a cab driver? I'm trying to remember? Anyway, the guy that creeped her out, could he have been captured on a camera in the vicinity? Did le pull all security vids from the time surrounding Sam's abduction?

IIRC, it was either posted here by someone that claimed to have heard it, or it was posted as a comment on an article somewhere along the line. I do remember the person said she took a cab to work one day, and told the cab driver that there was someone around that was giving her the creeps. I think it might be a rumor though, because I'm pretty sure we never saw it officially reported, fwiw.....

Going back through media articles & footage since the beginning. I'm trying to put them in some kind of order according to date in the hope that sometime soon Sam will get her own section with broken down threads. One thing can't be argued with - JK is 100% unequivocally heartbroken over his daughter's disappearance IMO. I'm just not seeing any fakeness about it.

It's clear that there were only searches in the beginning by the APD, except for Sam's family & friends going around in the immediate time after her disappearance. I just ran across an article in which the APD was referenced as not wanting the public to search on their own. IMO, there are far more experienced searchers in kidnappings than how the le is portraying themselves. Again, Tim Miller or Marc Klaas are just two off the top of my head... Alaskan SAR is right there.

With TES & KK, they will expect 100% forthright honesty and will be confidential when needed. I really home JK thinks about reaching out to someone other than just the APD.

Thanks joslmaman, I couldn't quite remember where we'd seen it.
I saw he made another statement....I honestly just wish all that would stop. I can't say enough how counter-productive the fighting is to finding his daughter. Whether or not what is being said is true, it'll all come out in the end because I'll bet LE knows the real truth, and people are going to believe what they want/what their good sense tells them.
