That was discussed on the findsamantha website. Someone reported having heard it on the radio talk show, but I haven't seen it in writing.
JK has made another statement..

Thank you I couldn't remember, I just knew I read it here lol!

With TES & KK, they will expect 100% forthright honesty and will be confidential when needed. I really home JK thinks about reaching out to someone other than just the APD.

I can imagine it's a very fine line! It appears to me that he's trying his best to seem supportive of the APD but also seems frustrated with the lack of news he's getting.
How does LE seem to respond when families bring in a third party to investigate?

With TES & KlaasKids, they welcome them, most of the time with open arms.

Do you (or anyone else) know what kind of training it takes to work for the APD? Where is their police academy?

Going back through media articles & footage since the beginning. I'm trying to put them in some kind of order according to date in the hope that sometime soon Sam will get her own section with broken down threads. One thing can't be argued with - JK is 100% unequivocally heartbroken over his daughter's disappearance IMO. I'm just not seeing any fakeness about it.

It's clear that there were only searches in the beginning by the APD, except for Sam's family & friends going around in the immediate time after her disappearance. I just ran across an article in which the APD was referenced as not wanting the public to search on their own. IMO, there are far more experienced searchers in kidnappings than how the le is portraying themselves. Again, Tim Miller or Marc Klaas are just two off the top of my head... Alaskan SAR is right there.

Anchorage area orgs:

Texas EQUUSearch:

Klaas Kids:

Don't you think the APD meant the general public? Not nationally known search organizations? I don't understand why they would have an objection to one of those orgs coming in to help, though. Seems like they would appreciate all the help they could get.

Huh? What a sec? Who in the world suggested anything different? I didn't. Of course I think they were referring to the public. I gave those links bc I personally believe Mr. Koenig should give them a call bc I personally think they can do a more thorough job of searching.

Would they do their own investigation and then search accordingly or wood they search areas they're told?
I don't know much about how it works :)

Sorry, I lost signal on my cell & it logged me out.

The would take info from family, friends AND the APD as well as FBI, then they'd map out coordinates for a search area of interest. Could be multiple areas of interest. I don't know the technicalities, what's required, etc...only that these organizations are highly respected. Their resources are literally unlimited. Bc they're held in such high esteem, people and their organizations come out of the woodwork to assist.

All I'm saying is that it can't hurt to call...

Were there dogs used initially? Imo this would be the perfect situation in which scent/trailing dogs could be hugely beneficial.. Especially since its possible the two were leaving on foot, atleast initially...

  • #311
I could be wrong about this, as I'm not quite sure so if anyone knows then please weigh in... I think that TES works hand in hand with law enforcement and the families. I believe they have to work in coordination with le to protect the data or evidence that may arise during investigation. They are professionals through and through. That's just TES though, there's others out there as well.

I don't remember... Good question Smooth. I know it's something that was talked about on here. For some reason I remember something about it snowing and somebody saying that dogs wouldn't be able to pick up her scent. But that's why I went searching for SAR dogs in snow. It's when I dug into that link I provided a few posts ago. Those dogs can find a person in an avalanche. If they can recover somebody in an avalanche, why can't they find somebod's scent in snow on a road? I'm totally clueless, literally.

Why am I confused about the time Sam's cell went dead? For some reason, 5:00 a.m. is stuck in my head but then I started reading that her cell died around noon or just a bit before? What is the 5:00 a.m. time? Is that when JK stopped searching but maybe continued calling until her phone died? Didn't DT also say he called til her cell died? Also, who was the first person exactly to report Sam missing? Some articles inform her father reported her missing, while other articles inform the owners of the coffee shop reported her missing.

Jersey, I think that's a great idea! I hope he's looking into it.

I haven't heard anything about dogs in an reports that I can recall. Very interesting that dogs could find people in avalanches...you would think LE should have been on top of that!

Whether LE has leads they're not letting on we may not know but it's VERY obvious they have plenty of details about the investigation that they aren't letting out!

Isamom- if you're out there- Do you know why the find page doesn't create a document on their info tab that states any facts known to clear up things like her purse, cell phone etc..?

5 am is in my mind as the time JK reported searching until.

Man, I just read JK's letter again... After the first time that I read it, I felt he should have just abstained. The 2nd time I read it, I felt like wow, this guy is hurting so much but I really wish he'd take the high road & just not engage. Now I've read it for the 3rd time and I'm crying. Again. Incessantly.

Let me just say that I just watched a quick video of a mom that lost half her leg & the foot on her other left while saving her children from being harmed in a tornado. James reminds me of this woman.

Let's think here. Think deep. While I believe CB's mom, she believes what she does bc it's what her son told her, as well as Sam's bro. While I believe JK, he believes what he believes bc it's what Sam's told him. When I look at various pictures and comments regarding MP, something's going on, but it just didn't look huge. However, when paired with what JK said, and especially considering DC (her mom) hasn't come forward denying anything, JK's statement holds merit.

I would like to please suggest something in case somebody from Sam's team reads here: Please, pretty please, tell every single piece of information to the FBI, APD and also another outside source that specializes in searches. You owe the public nothing, no information, only the authorities. Please do not engage in argument a s it only throws the ball back against you. Please set up the reward fund with a lawyer and an accountant, making it non profit or something and having specifics typed out in black & white what happens to the money if a reward isn't necessary. Doing so will earn much respect and generate even more funds and/or awareness. Instead of bickering back & forth, everytime something is posted, take a screen capture of it and print it, then take it to the police - make sure the http shows on the printed page.

I will say this, if JK's statement is factual, it definitely paints a picture. Again, paired with TMC's statements, I personally believe they are both into this so deep against each other only because they truly believe what each of their kids told them is factual.

Bessie or Nursebeeme - are either of you two on? I'm wondering if I can please post JK's letter to the public. It's on the Find Sam fb page as well as her Find Sam site. I'm asking be on the mainstream media statement. I know we've always been allowed to post to the victim's social networking pages, and also that exceptions are made to allow the designated fb pages for the missing, but this case has been so dramatic and rumor filled - so I'm asking. The letter is good.

To those that may know...

Would a dealer have the same responsiblities as a seller? Would a seller have the same responsibilities as a runner? Would a runner have the same responsibilities as a driver? What is the average cut?

If - BIG if - drugs are involved in this scenario, I'm just not seeing anyone in the immediate circle as being a dealer. None of them are living large so to speak.

With cannibas being legal in AK, what would be the penalty for illegal sale and/or distribution?

  • #319
Omg omg omg I just thought of something...

What would be the penalty of illegal sale of cannibas if the person has a felony on their record?

Hmmm... Motive.

If I brainstorm a bit, what about if half of a delivery is missing? What would happen? Who would the dealer go after? Would he start with his seller(s)? Or would he start with the lowest person on the totem pole - the driver? If he starts with the driver, he might think that would scare his sellers into coming up with his missing product. Would they have to come up with the street value of lost/stolen product OR just replace it?

I'm afraid not, Jersey Girl, unless MSM decides to print it. All of the FB pages are off limits for the time being. Thank you for asking first.
