“They’re very quiet people, very friendly, he works a lot,” said Lorina Warren, who lives right next door. “That’s about all I know.”

Warren said she last saw Keyes in early March.

Jamie Beardsley watched the late-night law enforcement raid from across the street.

“Tow trucks came and they loaded up both vehicles; the one she was driving, and his vehicle that had been in the driveway, and I looked at my husband and I said, ‘That’s weird,’” Beardsley said. “They sealed up all the windows so you couldn’t see what was going inside the house -- we watched this until 3 in the morning.”

Beardsley said Keyes' truck looked like it hadn’t been touched in several days, because it had a lot of snow piled on top.

No one answered the door at Anderson’s house Friday. The only vehicle in the driveway was Keyes’ construction trailer. That too was searched by police earlier in the week.

Keyes would shop for construction materials at Spenard Builders Supply. A worker, who asked not to be identified, said Keyes was always pleasant, never seemed to be having a bad day, and wasn't buying anything that would've raised eyebrows.

IMO, it isn't a fact or falsehood either way unless it's coming from LE. I don't know either JK or MP personally, so I'm not prepared to say one is definitely telling the truth and the other is definitely lying. Just as you say JK has no reason to lie, I don't know that MP has one either.

I can see a reason for JK to lie. Maybe he was not supposed to have that much cash laying around the house. Maybe he does not want people looking into his cash flow for some reason.

local news is on now.

A neighbor has reported that the color of his hair in the arrest video does not look like he normally does...

I am afraid that LE does not believe Samantha is alive...something about the delay in getting him back to Alaska makes me nervous...

But he has no reason to talk right now-he has not been charged with murder. If he is, and he didn't kill her, he may speak up.

If any of them ARE involved they all have good reason to lie. Her dad is very protective of her, I can see him telling a little fib like that. The child is missing and all sorts of rumors/truths are flying around about her. he sees she is missing as more imprtant than anything else.

Can't rely on APD, they hide more than they tell.

Reyes could be an alias by mistake. If a collection agency, credit agency, mortgage company, etc hastily entered his name into a database for an application and made a typo, that stays with a person forever. I know I have several "wrong middle initials" and an "incorrect SSN" that pops up because of a very lazy mortgage broker.

Yes, this is what I've been trying to explain. And when I don't have my glasses on, Keyes DOES look like Reyes, so it could have been a person who was going too fast that entered it in somewhere and it's on his record forever.

When I was a young adult and back when computers were DOS (ha, I'm old!), I worked at Sears doing nothing but inputting receipts by hand into a database. We then had a second person doing an "audit trail" and their sole job was to correct mistakes and duplications from the input process. They had a full time job for a reason!

If we knew when IK left the state of AK that would give a us a clue as to whether or not he may have even tried to attempt to take SK with him. provided he drove to Texas. It took me 10 days driving 12 hour days to drive the Alcan Hwy from the Dakotas and you figure another 2 to 2 1/2 days to get to Texas from here. That was the longest trip I ever made and when I left AK I shipped my car to Seattle 3 weeks in advance and then flew out from from Anchorage to Seattle to pickup my car. I also had the option to take the ferry which would have taken 2 1/2 days from AK to the state of WA. If that's the way he went he could have drugged her but I find that highly unlikely. There's no heat in those cars on the ferry and its pretty cold up there and one could easily freeze to death hid in a trunk. Sadly, I personally don't think SK is with us any longer and hasn't been for quite some time. I get the feeling that APD feels the same, but until they have evidence otherwise they have to go forward based on the fact that she still might be alive. The only other scenario possible that there might be even a remote possibility that SK could still be alive would be if IK had an accomplice.

He lived with a 12 yr old daughter/stepdaughter. So it might have been her backpack.

I don't think she is out of state, you need a passport to cross borders and not many people carry their passport with them. If it was a plane she would have to have ID with her which is checked against your ticket.

imo :)
He did not have that kind of cash laying around for her to just use. I do not think he is rich by any means. I mean my husband makes good money but we still live pay check to pay check its hard these days.
And from what I can tell it has nothing to do with it. I think this case is looking like it is from someone not related to the family. And I do not think they were going after money. I think they took her for other reasons. I do believe he would have said yes she did take that money. Why wouldnt he? He has stated alot about her and her past. He is not being shy with the public but rather upfront.
I know MP is not telling the complete truth. But again this is just me. Dont want to argue, we can agree to disagree.. :)

I am curious as to what other pictures there are of IK? Has anyone found any? If he looks different in the current pict what did he look like prior? Or have we heard a description?
Thanks everyone for any help or replies. :) I appreciate you all.

I think you are correct and she is still in Alaska. It takes 7 to 7 1/2 hrs to drive from Anchorage to the border. It takes about 4 days to cross back into the US after passing through Canada. The time from when she was reported missing would and to to make that transit would fall into the time when a BOLO would have been issued and the Officers at the US Border would have acted. And when you consider the possibility of flying out, well as you said ID is required and there is also a passenger manifest which would be a record.
Unless of course that is how they tracked him to Texas which is plausible, or even crossing the border for that matter which will be recorded at whatever crossing he went through.

Yeah, that was my thought too, and I haven't caught up on all the info but I thought the girl was back in AK with her mom. And it didn't sound like he owned this white car, did it? Again, playing catch-up so please correct me.. I figured it was a rental. So if that's the case, why would he have brought his stepdaughter's backpack to TX without her?

I don't believe the girl is a step daughter. It's been reported that they do not know if the 12-13 year old girl living with the couple is hers, his or theirs.

The 12-13 year old girl lived in TX with KA (her mom presumably?) not in AK.

BBM. That is incorrect.

They say he kept a low profile and didn't seem suspicious -- that was until the FBI and police raided the house at 2456 Spurr Ln. where Keyes was staying.

Property records list Kimberly Anderson as the homeowner. Police say she's not a suspect.

“They’re very quiet people, very friendly, he works a lot,” said Lorina Warren, who lives right next door. “That’s about all I know.”

KA owned the home in AK where they lived with the 12-13 year old.

I said up there ^^^^ that you need a passport to cross the border. I think there is a passport card or enhanced license when going into Canada. Either way I doubt Samantha would have had time.

The child lived with her mom in AK not Texas.

I don't think I have heard why he was in Texas.

They can also pass through with a birth certificate and drivers license.
