It is probably just me and the fact that it is getting late. But, it seems weird to me the words are "suspected kidnapping" instead of "the suspected kidnapping" or " the suspected kidnapping of Samantha Koenig", in reference to "evidence" found in the car. was the evidence found not "directly linkable" to SK or it could be the way the media "relayed the info"? It does not appear to be a "direct" quote. Just my thoughts, wandering....
Investigators found enough evidence in the vehicle to arrest Keyes for suspected kidnapping.

I am a reporter. the word "suspected" is used because he hasn't been formerly charged yet. We don't use the word "alleged" or "allegedly" anymore.
He is suspected because of the evidence found in the car.
