Looks like they are keeping it quiet. Let’s hope there is really strong evidence!

I asked the Times Journal reporter, Kayla Beaty, if there were any upcoming court dates for CM or if they have been any other arrests in this case. She replied, “No, ma’am. As of now, we do not have any other updates on anything related to that particular case. When we do receive additional information about his court dates, or anything else related to the case, we will be sure to let the public know in a timely manner. Thank you for reading the Times-Journal, and thank you for reaching out to us.”

Please correct me if I’m mistaken. At this point there is no confession. All evidence is being held without comment. They found the body on CM’s property but they still have to prove that he did it! Has there been any detail in listing the charges at all?

If there isn't DNA found and no confession... will this 🤬🤬🤬 walk ?

Not that I am aware of. The court docket only shows a window of a few days at a time. I have been looking, but nothing there so far.

I bet there is his DNA. He had a short window to commit this crime and not enough time or brain cells to cover his tracks. JMO

In June it wouldn’t have been a heater.

Perhaps Mom was up early cooking breakfast.

Sounds like an unsettled life for little Amberly.

House fire in June.
Mom working two jobs.
(With all the moving around, where is she working)
Moves in with aunt in smaller place (unknown date)
Mom needs place ASAP in early February.
Mom moves to GA (unknown date)
Decides to leave children with aunt in February.

Trying to get a timeline, feel free to chime in!

I don't know about AB's mom, but I know Christopher Wayne Madison lived not too far from me 2005-2007. (ish)
He went to Woodland High School in Cartersville Ga. He would have been class of 2002-2003. I don't know if he graduated or not.
I didn't know him or his family, but I know of people who did and they are horrified that they associated with someone who could do something like that.

My heart aches for this little girl now gone. It seems she was tumbled around WRT where she lived and may not have had strong support and re-assurance when she may have needed it. I could be wrong, but I have not seen nor read about anyone acting as an advocate or providing the positive moral support for this pretty preteen. I could be totally mistaken, and I hope earnestly that I am wrong about this. It does sound like her mother cared about her, and apparently she was trying hard to make things better but was unable to do it yet.

I guess no one knows how Amberly was taken away from her home by this possible suspect. Did he physically grab her and put her in a vehicle? Did he lure her somehow into going with him voluntarily?
Lots of unknowns so far...

I don't think there was any vehicle involved, since they lived next to each other and she was found in the woods behind their trailers.

Regarding the last paragraph: I don’t think that any vehicle or luring was needed. She was a dainty little 11 year old girl—and was found 200 yards from her home. I assume that he could easily have dragged or carried her body that far.:mad::mad:

My guess is that he went into her house (aunt’s house) and did whatever it was he did with her before killing her- also in the house. Then transported her body to the woods. I don’t think he convinced her to go anywhere. He didn’t have to, because no one else was around and the house was empty. JMO.

:) Thanks, Skipper, for reminding me about that - - I knew it (!) but I guess my brain simply failed to engage. D'oh.

I do wonder if he just came in her house and took control, or came in "just for a visit," or if he asked if she wanted to take a walk, or he wanted to "show her something," or asked her to help him find something in the woods, etc, etc.

The home AB lived in did not have crime scene tape surrounding it that I noticed. I think he had to have taken her from there to commit the crime. It was dusk on a rural road - maybe to his own home or to the woods where they found her. It was such an unbelievable short window of time he had to commit this crime. The family appeared to be living in the home afterward as they were interviewed in front of it on TV. That is my assumption though. I can't imagine they had anywhere else to go.

RSBM (I can’t get the bolding function to work)

Good point. Interesting.

I'm making the wild assumption she had no idea what was about to happen. Surely had her aunt had any inclination he was a danger to Amberly, she never would have left her there alone. His obvious violent issues to the side, I'm sure he was thought of as an "uncle". That's just creepy even writing it. I'd bet she went "wherever" willingly. JMO.

It could've been something so simple too like he got hungry, went to take some of her chinese food and she yelled at him so he started choking her and didnt stop.
