Very possible. A young woman (Dawn Marino) went missing from a local bar. Ground and helicopter search between bar and her home. Remains found six years later a couple miles from bar in opposite direction. In a cistern that the surrounding area had returned to woods. Found by a hunter. I know people who had walked a trial just yards from her and never saw her.
We are at the beginning of deer hunting season right now that runs through January. Hopefully that will help as well.

Yup, it’s still there. It appears ABC received a copy of the Alabama arrest warrant, which we haven’t seen.

All I’ve seen is the arrest warrant from Florida, which merely cites the charges he is facing in Alabama.

What ABC is saying is going to be legitimate.
The last part of the article which states that her stepfather considered her his best friend breaks my heart.

We've had three horrific crimes committed by strangers in just the last few weeks. And I have to admit it's alarming to have three in a row because, while it obviously happens, it just doesn't happen as often.

Has there been any speculation as to what he was doing in Auburn that night? Could he had been there for another/additional reason other than specifically for an abduction?

Also, are there any details as to how he chose his last kidnapping victim? Something which points to a pattern or MO?

Most of the time when Montgomery guys come here, it’s for one of three things: girls, drugs, or robbery. Take your pick. He doesn’t look like he came looking for a date. My bet is on the other two: dealing drugs or robbing people that have money. Sad but true.

I just read a short article on his other case. It said the kidnapping and robbery were planned. It’s not unlikely she was targeted and he had been casing her.

There were also three other accomplices (one not cited in court records) in the other case.

One was an older man and the other a younger girl.

Future arrests have been indicated and I’m betting that IY was not the ring leader in ABs abduction.

As I mentioned when AB first went missing, I am local, and several times a year we have robberies in our neighborhood. Auburn police have told us that “teams” from Montgomery come to Auburn, and the driver stops right outside the neighborhood to let the rest of the team out on foot. The team members wear backpacks and they canvas the neighborhood looking for unlocked cars. They steal cash, meds, electronics, and guns. Neighborhood residents have actually caught these individuals on security cams walking around our neighborhood wearing backpacks. Usually this happens between 1 am and 3 am. I wonder if IY was in town with a team for this type of activity, and he saw AB and went rogue.

So sad. I think his times up, he should have stayed home that night.
I am sure his mother is working on his excuse, I wonder what it will be this time.

My thoughts are similar except as related to his past history.

He either acted with other accomplices or cut his teeth before and acted alone.

I’m going to read up on all of his past criminal history (articles, at least). I wish I knew how to acquire public records related to all of it for raw facts.

My belief is that there was more than one accomplice. My guess is IY was more muscle than brains in the group... that’s mostly speculative though.

Is there an arrest affidavit somewhere - other than the Affidavit Charging Crime linked here ( affidavit ) or the Escambia County Arrest Warrant linked here ( Escambia County )?

Because two different articles that I have seen both indicate that 'an arrest affidavit' says this ...

A witness outside an Alabama convenience store said he saw the man arrested in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard force the 19-year-old stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris into her own car and kidnap her, according to an arrest affidavit.
Witness saw suspect force missing 19-year-old into car against her will: Affidavit

According to an arrest affidavit, a witness outside the convenience store told police that he saw Yazeed forcing Blanchard into her own car - a black 2017 Honda CRV - and kidnapping her.

That’s the only affidavit I’ve seen (not to say there’s not another one. This one was the probable cause from Lee County signed by the judge from here. So, I’m not sure. That’s why it’s one of my questions. Bc I’ve read several different articles that say different things. I guess I was thinking if it was at the gas station, why wouldn’t it be on surveillance (there’s cameras on the front & sides)? Then the reason in the warrant wouldn’t have had to have been from an eye witness right? Idk...but like someone said, they could have another affidavit that hasn’t been released.

Who is Ibraheem Yazeed? Aniah Blanchard kidnapping suspect has arrests in several states

This article has probably already been cited...

In every case involving robbery or abduction IY acted with a team. Never alone.

Ltiger4 is almost certainly correct imo regarding teams from Montgomery and how it relates to ABs case...
Is it within the TOS to post names of his past accomplices from other cases? And to speculate as to if they could be related to this case? Or is that too off of the rails for here?

Hopefully one of the accomplices will give up her location.

I agree!. I don't think he could find his way out of a wet paperbag without help.

In one other case he was captured after a motel robbery and beating of two men while driving erratically in Macon County (between Montgomery and Auburn). He and his female accomplice were in the vehicle with a 77 yo man who was beaten near death.

This indicates a possible reason as to why ABs vehicle was damaged. Perhaps during the abduction he was beating and robbing her and wrecked, busting up the fender.

Someone else was in there with them it seems.

I should also add that by “went rogue” I mean in terms of the mission. I’m not suggesting he acted alone.

For sure. That’s the way I read it.

We can't discuss anyone not officially named as a POI or suspect.

Also, there’s a Montgomery warehouse fire and it’s near where her car was found

Could be related.

Welcome tchen. :)

Good eye on the fire. Not sure if related of course, but it is always important to make note of fires in situations like this, moo. Often such reports are hard to come by and not often in msm, etc.

Has there been any speculation as to what he was doing in Auburn that night? Could he had been there for another/additional reason other than specifically for an abduction?

Welcome JCATJRA. :)
Great post.
