Welcome tchen. :)

Good eye on the fire. Not sure if related of course, but it is always important to make note of fires in situations like this, moo. Often such reports are hard to come by and not often in msm, etc.

Welcome JCATJRA. :)
Great post.
Thanks!

I was summoned to this thread also and was about to say much the same thing. :) There are a million little details in either case that could affect which one goes to trial first.

90% of legal questions can be answered with "it depends" tbh :p

So wonderful to see you here @AZlawyer!

In the IY case involving the 77 yo man, IY was driving down the interstate with the victim when apprehended.

Of note, due to the proximity of the South College Street chevron (AB case) and that her vehicle was reportedly witnessed driving South from the Chevron presumably towards Interstate 85 which goes towards Montgomery where ABs vehicle was found.

I wonder if he was heading somewhere to check on or move her body when he was caught. Seems like lots of perps do that. Unfortunately, I think what he did to Aniah was very similar to what he did to the poor 77 year old victim. A leopard doesn't change his stripes. I hope police are interviewing his co-defendants from that case, especially the female.

As I mentioned when AB first went missing, I am local, and several times a year we have robberies in our neighborhood. Auburn police have told us that “teams” from Montgomery come to Auburn, and the driver stops right outside the neighborhood to let the rest of the team out on foot. The team members wear backpacks and they canvas the neighborhood looking for unlocked cars. They steal cash, meds, electronics, and guns. Neighborhood residents have actually caught these individuals on security cams walking around our neighborhood wearing backpacks. Usually this happens between 1 am and 3 am. I wonder if IY was in town with a team for this type of activity, and he saw AB and went rogue.
It sounds like Abur

I wonder if she and the other accomplices from that case are still incarcerated or in custody. Or at least during the events of ABs case.

@AZlawyer I wish I knew what to ask. Do you have any thoughts in regards to the case or any of the discussion? TY

IY was apprehended during the perpetration of another kidnapping in Macon County which borders both Montgomery and Auburn. He was active in the whole area. Who knows what he hasn’t been caught for?

I had thought about Eva McBride, but I think that was ruled a drowning. What is a 74 year old woman doing in a river, just saying. She could be thrown off a bridge.

Or what he has done and not been caught. Just so sorry it AB who paid the price for his evil ways.

There are a few rivers/bodies of water between Montgomery and Auburn. I had similar thoughts when I was looking at google maps today.

I don’t believe it was in the plan to murder AB. I also doubt that her death was a particular concern.

My point is that there probably wasn’t a plan to dispose of her body if the worst possibility is true. I pray it’s not.

I think it was a carjacking. She fought back causing the car to be wrecked.Thst pissed him off and he killed her.

I know we had this discussion yesterday. I discussed how the editor took liberties and added [her] in the article. Much as they would add [sic] for a grammar correction. I believe that’s what they did yesterday. I don’t know what the truth is, but I hate perpetuating something as truth that isn’t. It’s quite possible it is but hasn’t been stated as fact yet.

Maybe an earlier article by ABC said HER but this one quoted does not now. Nor does either charging document. They all day A vehicle.

Is there an arrest affidavit somewhere - other than the Affidavit Charging Crime linked here ( affidavit ) or the Escambia County Arrest Warrant linked here ( Escambia County )?

Because two different articles that I have seen both indicate that 'an arrest affidavit' says this ...

A witness outside an Alabama convenience store said he saw the man arrested in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard force the 19-year-old stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris into her own car and kidnap her, according to an arrest affidavit.
Witness saw suspect force missing 19-year-old into car against her will: Affidavit

According to an arrest affidavit, a witness outside the convenience store told police that he saw Yazeed forcing Blanchard into her own car - a black 2017 Honda CRV - and kidnapping her.
Witness told cops he saw suspect force UFC fighter's stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard, 19, into her car | Daily Mail Online

Yup, it’s still there. It appears ABC received a copy of the Alabama arrest warrant, which we haven’t seen.

All I’ve seen is the arrest warrant from Florida, which merely cites the charges he is facing in Alabama.

What ABC is saying is going to be legitimate.

Ok I see it now but it’s so strange because the info at the beginning of the article about the witness being outside and it being her car is not quoted from the affidavit. Then further down the article is the actual quote from the affidavit that was originally released.
So Maybe you are correct and there is another one abc has recently seen but hasn’t been released yet?

ETA:the newest info they refer to as the “arrest affidavit” and the original info they refer to as the “police affidavit”.

ETA: Yes, daily mail says HER but we all know they are not the most accurate and get info from other articles.

So it isn’t clear if AB was forced into her own vehicle or not?

IMHO we have been shown by documents A vehicle. We don’t know which one yet.

Holy smokes. The affidavit did say “a vehicle”. That’s a very important detail. Good eye! @diggndeeperstill
