There but for the grace of God go I.......i dont care gow good of a parent you try to be, you are goung to be distracted at some point.

When my DD was an infant, i had all 4 kids with me grocery shopping. As soon as we got home,her brothers helped get things in and as we finished putting them awayi asked if any of them had gotten the baby out of the car, as I just then realized she wasnt there. I ran outside and she was fast asleep in her carseat, in the shade, with the windows all rolled down. Thank goodness for an AC that didnt work and a shady yard!

The mother of a 4-month-old boy who died after being left in her car pleaded guilty today, but will serve no prison time, a county prosecutor said.

A Calhoun County grand jury in November 2013 indicted Katherine Elizabeth Papke, 36, on a charge of manslaughter, but she pleaded guilty to the lesser felony charge of criminally negligent homicide...

Papke, who had no previous criminal history, and had exemplary service record for her decades of military service, applied for and was accepted into a diversionary program that will allow her to avoid a prison sentence... Her guilty plea could be removed from her criminal record if Papke completes the conditions set by the court, the release states.
