(CBS) BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. - Baltimore toddler Sabriya Towles died after being left in a hot pickup truck on a scorching July day. Now a grand jury has indicted the child's grandfather for involuntary manslaughter, after he says he forgot the 16-month-old was in the back seat, CBS Baltimore reports. .........

The station reports that Anthony Towles was supposed to drop the little girl off at the Highland Village Head Start Center. But investigators say Towles came back to his home and fell asleep, forgetting his grandchild was still in the pickup. ........

Then, he goes to pick her up at the school and still did not see the child in his truck!

A 55-year-old Baltimore man was charged with involuntary manslaughter in 2013 after his 16-month-old granddaughter died in a hot truck.

The grandfather, Anthony Jerome Towles, was convicted and sentenced last month to probation in the death of Sabriya Towles.
