No wonder Derek is so messed up. Exposed to drugs and repeated sexual abuse at such a young age!!! :maddening::tantrum:

  • #862
Very glad to hear of the guilty plea, but still wanted to see this monster cave in and tell what she knew of Brit's disappearance

  • #863
Her only defense was to characterize the vic as a liar (shades of Brittney). No guilty plea, but she was found guilty. Yay.

I pray one of them will give us info regarding Brittney's disappearance.

  • #864
I am so glad Wendy has been found guilty. Pure sickness. I wonder what Chessie is thinking. I bet she is shaking in her boots. She knows. Somebody is going to break.

My opinion.

Bold, Italics is potential life sentence. Bond violation arrests excluded.
Dustin's plea agreement in Both counties on all charges removing life potential is noted.

Baldwin County arrests were a year before Mobile County, so it seems to reason, they're coming up for trial first. Although, I still have a final four theory going with who is 'us 4' in those letters to and from Wendy. That still could fit an arrest timeline depending on when those letters were written.

Wow. Really lays it all out.

Prosecutors react to the conviction of Wendy Holland on sex crimes to a child: 'There are no winners in this case'
http://www.al.com/news/mobile/index.ssf/2014/12/wendy_holland_convicted_on_fou.html
"The search goes on for Brittney," Heinz said. "We are constantly working with Mobile County to locate Brittney."

Patterson said there have been some leads into Wood's disappearance, but nothing that has helped investigators locate her.

"All law enforcement is focused on getting to that truth," Patterson said. "Someone knows what happened to her. I believe someone who is still alive knows what happened to her. They just have to come forward."

Added Patterson, "Every time there is a conviction or an additional plea, I hope it encourages some of the remaining people ... to take responsibility and certainly they need to tell us what happened to Brittney Wood."

Yes. My thoughts as well. Those kids, Derek, Brittney and TJ never had a chance. Shame on you Chessie.

I've never seen so many lives destroyed within one story, barring mass murder, serial killer, or natural disaster.

3:53 p.m. - Holland is guilty of sex abuse of a child, sodomy, endangering welfare of a child and sexual torture.

I have been sick the last couple of months. Past few days been down in bed, getting up to check the status of this trial. Thank you WS! Seeing that word guilty, wow, I can't explain. Thank you all for adding to this forum. Justice.

What wonderful news! I hope the severity of her sentence reflects not only the crimes, but her defence, which probably caused further damage to already damaged people!

  • #874
If the judge will give the maximum sentences, maybe, just maybe, the ones responsible will be punished for Brittney's murder by spending the rest of their lives in prison, even if never tried for it. Of course, that won't bring Brittney home for a decent burial..

Good Work Alabama! LE put an end to a cycle of abuse that would have continued and spread. This sad excuse of a 'lifestyle' that preys on children has got to be stopped. :jail:

Shocking testimonies

For two days, the jury listened to testimony that prosecutors described as "unfathomable" to people. Witnesses explicitly described sex acts to children, orgies involving adults and children, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and sex toys used children.
"No one wanted to be part of this," Heinz said. "No one wanted to come in here ... the huge burden the jury took on, we are appreciative."
She said the testimony could scar jurors in the days to come.
"I don't' think there is any possible way you can prepare," Heinz said. "I suspect a lot of these jurors will have difficulty hearing what they heard."
She said prosecutors were concerned with how to describe the sexual acts that went on inside homes in Stockton and Fairhope. Other offenses occurred inside homes in Mobile and in a hotel in Saraland.

Have jurors ever qualified for PTSD therapy reimbursement?

Powerful statement by Patterson about defendants who were abused and then continued the abuse.

She added, "The current defendants would have been victims 30 years ago. But the key to that is when someone is victimized as a child, once they are an adult, they still have a choice. Most victims don't go on to molest others. Unfortunately, what we have here is that some people decided that since this happened to me, what difference does it make?"

Wendy Holland was Donnie's wife. She now faces the possibility of spending the rest of her life behind bars after being convicted this week of sexual child abuse, torture, sodomy and endangering a child. Many think she has the answers they are searching for. "She was the one that broke the code on Brittney's cell phone," says Hanke, "calling it on a land line phone she deleted over five minutes of voicemail's that her and her twin sister Mendy heard."

"She had a couple of days with Donnie before he shot hisself," adds Chessie. "So if she wasn't directly involved I believe he told her."

Thanks Kate. From your link:

"One of Brittney's cousin's was the star witness in the Holland case. She started spilling family secrets three months before Brittney Wood went missing and naming Donnie Holland as one of many molesters."

Then why kill Brittney? I need more to convince me. :fence:
