The Hometown Search page probably isn't the best place to discuss RSW and DK's arrest and bail. Best to keep it centered on finding her and getting her home safe.

Both uncles are innocent until proven guilty, and one or the other could end up being cleared as all of this eventually shakes out. Even if we expect the worst, we should hope for the best. I understand what you mean, though. It's doubtful that BCSO would have made an arrest and that a judge would have set so high a bail if there wasn't some evidence being presented other than "he said, he said."

its not the best place your right, but I was looking for someone (outside the family) to give insight. Those fb pages have given us some info. But I am slapping my hands and will not do it again!

Greetings all. A few thoughts have been racing through my mind this weekend and this morning, especially after reading the posts and catching up. I have had to work, as I do most weekends, so I was unable to get online.

1) I believe that LE specifically stated that BW's last phone ping placed her "phone" in the Grand Bay area at the same time or near the same time as DH's suicide, which has been confirmed as around 1:40 am on the 31st day of May, a Thursday. However, in WWH's statement, she said that she was with DH all day "Thursday". She also said, and anyone may correct me if I am wrong, that she dropped DH off at the house in Fairhope and left for 1-1/2 hours and came back and found he had shot himself. My opinion, therefore, is that someone is outright lying or has misspoken. It was said that "someone" else said that DH picked up WWH and the children. Could it not also be assumed that he dropped them off somewhere? It could be that WWH, in all the confusion, meant the 30th instead of the 31st. I find it highly unlikely that professional LE misquoted the date & time of the suicide. If someone could clarify not so much the timeline as the credibility of what I have questioned then it would be a huge help.

2) Why or what has lead us to believe that LE is not “following the book” in this case and if they are not “following the book” then what makes us believe that they do not have the credible information needed to cause them not to “follow the book”? I would like to point out that LE has dedicated material and manpower to helping search for BW. If they believed that she was not in the area or that she was not alive then, IMHO, they wouldn’t be dedicating these particular resources.

3) Much has been said about the MPD and BCSO because those agencies have the lead on their respective cases, however, that does not mean that the local FBI or other LE agencies have not been contacted or have not participated in the search and investigation into BW’s disappearance, the suicide (official ruling) of DH or the sex abuse/molestation charges against the uncles. Grand Bay, for those who are not local, is located in Mobile County, outside of MPD’s jurisdiction. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. While the disappearance occurred around the Tillman’s Corner/Theodore area of Mobile County which is under the MPD’s 3-mile jurisdiction. I have provided a link to show the jurisdiction lines and precincts associated with the MPD. Obviously, the MCSO's police jurisdiction covers all of Mobile County but they generally stick to the area's outside of the MPD's jurisdiction unless warranted.

4) I believe that the lack of media attention can be attributed to many factors. The inconsistent reports from family, not at all a criticism because I would probably be inconsistent as well. The fact that drugs has, supposedly, run rampant in this family, as well as, alleged, more nefarious acts. Couple that with the fact that the family has either been told to rachet down their efforts, has received bad advice on how to get the word out or has intentionally not sought to make this a bigger deal, for whatever reason. One can start to see why there is a lack of coverage. I understand that the family has not dealt with missing persons before. I can assure you of this one thing though, being a father, if my child was missing, it would take LE placing me under the jail to keep me from exhausting every effort to find them, adult or not. It doesn’t take being experienced in something like this to know what to do to get the word out. I would be calling my local and state elected officials every day, living at the police precinct, would probably lose my job for searching for them and if I did go to work then every second away from it would be occupied with searching for them. It would be an “all hands on deck” situation and nothing would stop me from screaming it to whomever will listen. I would probably camp outside of the tv stations too. I don’t want to ever question the motives of a person and I treat most in this family as if they are victims themselves but I can’t help but feel that common sense should take over at some point. If anyone tried to tell me that anything short of “all out” was the way to go then I would have to seriously question that advice and that includes LE.

My first thought was that he looked like someone used to getting his way. He matches what I think of when I hear "abuser." RSW, on the other hand, just looks exhausted and maybe a little simple. The exhausted part is correct, but he's anything but simple. As I said, I've played roleplaying games with him at one of the shops in West Mobile, and he's a clever guy. Anyone who has ever played RPG's knows that it requires a certain amount of smarts. Lots of math and lots of statistics to keep track of.

I still can't figure how these two arrests could not be connected to BW's disappearance, unless the investigation into the three uncles was ongoing, and the media attention from her disappearance threatened the investigation, so they moved in and made the arrests rather than risk one or more of the "gang" figuring out what was coming down and skipping town.

I had a very positive opinion of RSW so nobody was more shocked then me when he was arrested..I could easily tell by his comments that he has "smarts"..He also appeared to be one of the few? normal ones in this seemingly very abnormal/dysfunctional family.

If the other 2 were also being investigated it hasn't been reported so we don't really know..I think it's crucial info to help us figure out this mess.

On the other hand, ran across this while visiting BW Hometown page, might give insight as to why there is no progress in this case. Apparently this lady went missing in December of 2010 and wasn't found until the following August. Buried in the front yard of her boyfriends house. No arrests have been made. wtf?

I believe that the "official" statement is that DH was under investigation for four months. The other two, I am not so sure. It's reasonable to suspect that they were if we are talking about the same alleged victim here.

I'm kind of glad to know that even the family was shocked by the arrests. It makes it easier to understand that those of us who knew Scott were blindsided as well. Whenever something like this happens, I guess it's natural for us to look for warning signs that we might have missed. That's one of the reasons that I've been so reluctant to just accept the charges against Scott as a done deal. It seems so out of synch with his character.

I'm interested in knowing which one of the two was arrested first. According to Fox 10 News, one suspect confessed and then turned in the second man, after the juvenile female made her complaint to the BCSO. So the first to be arrested is probably the one who confessed, and the second would be the one implicated in some sort of plea deal.

This link will take you to a local media outlet that states that "Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office say Holland was being investigated for sexual abuse at the time". The exact details of that investigation are unknown.

I just want to jump in very quickly to clarify & update folks on a few important pieces of information.

I have confirmed that an NCIC number has been assigned to Brittney as a missing person on the FBI's database, which is very good news... However...

If you run a search for her on the FBI website or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children - Brittney's name does not appear. Per Federal law a missing person aged 21 & under is considered a missing child for NCIC standards & protocol.

The FBI has NOT been involved with search effort. The local law enforcement agencies have NOT been updating or working with the family in the manner one would expect for a missing person. In fact...

Local law enforcement & Crimestoppers will not even provide the family with allocated government funded for a reward fund because, "there is no evidence of foul play"....

IMO... THAT POSITiON IS COMPLETELY ABSURD AND TOTALLY UNCONSCIONABLE!!!

I had a place to stay in Mobile I'd jump in my car and drive straight to their headquarters to demand justice & attention for Brittney & her family. I would personally stand in front of every television news camera and express my disgust with the dismissive attitude this grieving & desperate family is receiving.

I have noticed that several logical and seemingly reasonable questions have been posted by some who obviously care about the case (not weird speculations but normal questions) and they have been answered in the ugliest, most haughty and arrogant manner (hopefully the ones doing the answering are not family, but who knows?).

As I stated in my first post, my parents live around the corner from where BW's mother lives and possibly closer to where she was going. They live off Travis Road. My family and I travel to their house many times over the course of a month and I have not seen the first poster or flier at any business or location in that area. That is not to say that there arent any but that I havent seen any. If someone can tell me exactly where to get some fliers or posters then I will gladly go to area businesses and ask to place them in the windows.

Ya know maybe something happend to someone and these three men were present and accounted for at the time....I would think they would arrest them all till thy found out exactly what happend...Im sure its a she said he says kind of thing and im sure they are all saying they are innocent but i have to guess Donnie wasnt!

I think Uncle Donnie was in the middle of a full blown Mid Life crisis...
If he was doing any kind of drugs and drinking and he thought he was the cats meow he probably got himself into big trouble. big guy on a harley!

If you ever watch the jersey Shore they invite the familys for a weekend to be with the kids there are a few Uncles on there always hugging these girls in their bikinis and in the hot tub with them and its not right but its right there and the girls ar all laughing!
