Actually, LE did say that they see no evidence that points to foul play in BW's disappearance.

This early announcement by LE has held vital funds from becoming available for the search for BW and has left it largely up to the family and community to fund it. This could also be why LE is not actively looking for her. They may consider her just a "runaway".

Klass Kids came and went very quickly also!

This thread had been closed for review and extensive clean up for untoward speculation on the missing person, Brittney Wood. Brittney is still missing and needs to be found. LE is still investigating her disappearance. There has also been rampant speculation about Klaas Kids and their search. After doing some checking we know that Klaas Kids is still on the case and is not giving up the search. They just don't have any tips on where to search. They will come back to search when they have a good tip. They continue to help the family. Any further speculation on Brittney other than the missing person and possible victim she is after this warning will not be tolerated. What you post must be backed up with a link.

"However, does this sex crime investigation have anything to do with the missing teen?

She is not the victim in our sex abuse case, and our case has been going on much longer than the missing persons report that was filed with Mobile Police on Brittney Wood," said Major Anthony Lowery with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office."

snip

"Deputies said they anticipate at least two more arrests".

red and bold by me: we are not discussing this what is in red and bold until and unless there is some sort of link connecting her to this investigation. They have said she was not investigated as a victim of the perps... and at that we will end the discussion of this.

I deleted....better safe than sorry.

it is FINE to post the articles... it is not fine to try to connect Brittney to the case or speculate that she was in any way related to the crimes. I hope that makes sense.

Hopefully there is a break in her case soon.

Originally, it was $25,000 - incest charge dropped - all day it has shown $20,000 after that was dropped. It was changed while we were on lock out.

MY OPINION - he probably went before the judge today for bond hearing and since he is listed as "homeless", it was raised...but, could be more to it.

In the video, Brittney's father says he's planning his own investigation to see if these crimes are related to Brittney. He says the crimes are sick and disgusting. (paraphrased)

Whaaaat????? I thought LE said BW was not a victim of these family members. Maybe she helped break the case!

I wonder if she knew what sort of awful stuff they were up to, and she contacted LE? That would be a possible reason she is now missing.

Sorry if this has already been posited....

Frayed, I listened again very closely. He says he'll investigate to see if these crimes are related to Brittney's disappearance.

I do believe he'll track this down to the very core. Pappa Bear.

Very tough on the parents, they are clearly desperate for answers. We all are at this stage. The parts that are publicly documented don't fit and that is so frustrating. I can't even decide which scenarios I think are most likely in Brittney's disappearance, whether she is dead or alive. It is just so sad.

Dear Brittney Nicole Wood (or anyone who knows where Brittney is),
If you google your name and somehow end up on this site, please call your mom and/or dad. Let them know you're okay, even if you plan never to come back to the Mobile area. You don't have to tell them where you are. Just let them know you're okay. If you don't plan on coming back for a while, tell them so. Then tell them you love them and you'll explain one day. Then hang up. This will take all of one minute. Ask to borrow a stranger's phone if you have to. Unless you do this, they have no way of knowing that you aren't lying dead in the woods somewhere or were abducted by a serial killer. Think of your daughter and what it would be like to be worrying she's been killed or kidnapped, not knowing if she's dead or alive, hungry or thirsty, cold or too hot. Please do this if you ever stumble upon this post. Do it right away.
If anyone out there knows where Brittney is, encourage her to make this call. Make it for her if she won't.

Pappa Bear.

That is exactly what I was thinking earlier today. I've said it before, he made a huge impression on me when I first saw him on t.v. His voice was shaking and he just looked devastated. I know looks don't always mean much, but it was just so clear that he was confused and hurting. I have never doubted the sincerity of either parent's (or the step-moms) desire to find BW, but he especially touched my heart. I hope he gets his "baby girl" back soon! Like right now.

I sure hope he does! Go Pappa Bear!

I just have to wonder if BW, being a new mom, felt like she needed to blow the whistle on what she knew these relatives were up to and make sure her little one would never be hurt that way.

Being a parent makes you braver than you ever thought you could be.
