I sure hope he does! Go Pappa Bear!

I just have to wonder if BW, being a new mom, felt like she needed to blow the whistle on what she knew these relatives were up to and make sure her little one would never be hurt that way.

Being a parent makes you braver than you ever thought you could be.

You make a good point. I saw some FB comments from Brittney's former elementary teacher. It made me feel Brittney was perhaps vulnerable herself as a child.

Scroll down to the brother's article. The teacher's initials are LPS. She makes a few comments. Heartbreaking. Why didn't she report this!

I got the impression from reading all of the comments that the teacher wasn't aware of anything going on at home until after the school year ended. I am wondering if she was actually referring to BW's parents separating. I don't think that she meant that she had any awareness that there was abuse happening.

Frayed, I listened again very closely. He says he'll investigate to see if these crimes are related to Brittney's disappearance.

I do believe he'll track this down to the very core. Pappa Bear.

I really wish that law enforcement would explain why they have concluded that the sex abuse investigation and DH's suicide are not related to BW. They must have some evidence to support those statements, but they aren't saying a word about the events that are related to BW"s disappearance.

So, where was BW last known to be before she went missing? If it was Grand Bay, what do they have that confirms that information?

Wait a minute!! I just realized that on this video it is said that DH was living on Styx River Road and that BW's cell phone's last transmission occurred across the street from him. But, all of the first reports said that he was staying at a home on Water World Road. Those are not the same roads! Styx River Road ends near Water World Road but they are definately not the same roads!! Maybe this is the source of our earlier confusion when the media were showing a home (a small yellow house) that DH was staying at but then they also showed a mobile home park and indicated he was staying there!!

Gee whiz, they need to get that basic info. right!!

I tried to post a google map but couldn't do so. I'll try to find another to show you what I mean. These are not the same locations

EDIT TO ADD: It's approximately 19 miles from Styx River Road in Stapleton, AL to Waterworld Road in Robertsdale, AL. This would be if one drove the normal route down a state highway to I-10. It may be possible to take "backroads" to get from one to the other but the backroads would be small dirt roads and are designated as unnamed roads on local maps.

Let's see if I can get this map to post:

It could be entirely coincidental that the charges against uncles & bro came down while she's been missing. It could.

Very well could be. They know her phone was there but they haven't said that they know that she herself was there. But, it is a definite possibility that all this is coincidental. It may be hard to believe, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be true.

They very well might have that evidence, but I also haven't seen LE say that. I have seen them say she's not a victim in their investigation and their investigation pre-dates BW's investigation, but I haven't seen a direct quote saying no relation. When asked, it would have been easy to say no relation but they chose not to. Others and other outlets have reported their interpretation of those statements as meaning no relation, such as the one quoted below. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Hopefully this is ok because I am only trying to look at MSM reports of LE statements to understand exactly what LE has said. I also think its this non-responsive answer that rightfully bothers her family too as expressed in this link. BBM

http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/local_news/baldwin_county/bcso-no-proof-wood-arrests-connected

Baldwin County deputies maintain Brittney’s disappearance and the sex abuse cases are not related.

“She is not a victim in our sex abuse case, and our case has been going on much longer than the missing person's report that was filed with Mobile Police Department on Brittney wood,” said BCSO Major Anthony Lowery.

I have taken a few days off from posting just because there is so many details and missing details and what seemed like lack of media attention that I was getting frustrated (i have been keeping up though). I still pray daily that BW is found and is safe. I hate that it took all of these new ugly details and arrests to get the media back on this case (but on a positive note to a horrible situation, it is getting BWs face back out there to the public). I cant imagine what CW is going through right now...
a missing daughter
a brother in law commiting suicide while being investigate for sexual abuse
a brother in law arrested for 2 counts of sodomy, 2 counts of rape, and 1 count of incest
a brother arrested for sodomy rape and incest
and now her very own son arrested for rape and sodomy (incest charge dropped)
and two more arrests to come per LE (why the wait I wonder..isnt really safe to leave child molestors roaming free??)

CW has endured more pain and shock in 1 1/2 months than most people in a lifetime. None of us can say how we would react if we were in her situation (I would probably be in a padded room). Now what I am about to say is not to bash CW at all...it is to maybe give any of her family members reading this insight as to an outsiders view. I believe it is information that CW should hear. Again PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AS NEGATIVE!! I cant imagine what I would do if I was in her position. However it has apparently been difficult to raise money to get a reward for info about BW. It has been difficult for them to get volunteers to help search. BWs dad has been searching daily ALONE. Just as the family has some success with the bucket drive, DW is then arrested. CW posts on her wall asking for money to get him out. I know CW doesnt believe or want to believe DWs charges and I wont speculate one way or another. HOWEVER...he is alive...he does have a bed....he is getting 3 meals a day....everyone knows where he is at. I know she has a missing daughter and wants her son out of jail, but whats that saying...he has 3 hots and a cot. Asking the publicly for money from friends to get him out is probably going to scare off any extra money she could get for finding BW. Some people may think that there money could possibly be going to get DW out of jail and not to finding BW. Some people will not be giving DW a fair trial in their minds and I feel that if focusing on getting him out is a priority then it may should be done without public posts. I would love to see the community come together and do everything in their means to find BW. I am just scared this will not happen if support is shown publicly for any of the men arrested. This is just my opinion and when I state "public" that is referring to the many friends I have in the Tillmans Corner and Grand Bay area. I have asked why they feel there is so little support for BW there and this is what I am being told. I truely in my heart hope that BW can shine through all of this nasty news that is overtaking the main point, which is a missing 19 yr old.

I snipped it down a bit. My thought from day one was, in order to gain the public confidence that their money is being used for the stated purposes, it would be great if a local attorney would donate their time to possibly set up a trust where someone from Klaas' Kids or even a bank were named as trustee. I don't know if that is even possible but I would think it is and a trust can be drafted very specifically as to what its assets can be disbursed for. I have no doubt CW would use the monies raised for the search for BW, but I think something like that would put the public more at ease with their donations, whether its this case or another.

I agree completely. I am sure CW would use the monies donated to find BW for finding BW. I am just not sure some of the community believes that. I think a trust with a specified trustee would help alot. I again wasnt trying to say anything negative about CW. I know as this case gets more and more "interesting" to the public...they begin "googling it". If people go to her public FB wall and see that she is now also trying to collect money to get DW out of jail...well you saw what I posted that I heard people say already. They want to know why CW isnt using every dollar to find BW when she knows where DW is and that he is atleast alive. I personally dont know the right way for anyone to go about finding their daughter and getting their son out of jail at the same time. I just wanted to pass on what I have heard from locals there. People that arent on this page...people that arent family or friends of BW....just people in that area and how they are taking to all of the news being reported. I wish the Lord's hand on CW and pray that he gives her the answers for what she is going through.

It is Grand Bay. In this video it says Grand Bay is believed to be the place Brittney's uncle Donnie dropped her off after she visited him in Baldwin County. Klaas Kids based their last searches there.

My only other main concern with this case and the LE would be, it is hard to have people believe you are doing everything you can to find BW when you have announced publicly

A. This investigation has been going on for a LOOONG time (atleast 4 months or more) and it took you this long to get rapists and pedophiles off the street?!!??
B. THE BIG SHOCKER- you told us yesterday that you would be arresting someone today and today you told us you will be arresting 2 more people later this week.....DEAR GOD QUIT TELLING US ABOUT IT AND ARREST THEM ALREADY!!! Why are you telling us days in advance and letting them walk the street???? Even if you have to wait for some legal details to come together...dont tell the public!! I would be outraged if I lived in that county and i would be at the jail demanding they arrest the rapists RIGHT NOW if they know who they are. And honestly...these other 2 people HAVE to know that it is them that are going to be arrested....right? They know if they are the ones that are guilty. Isnt publicly announcing it, giving them time to flee.

Sorry for my rant. I trust LE and try to believe they are doing what is best.....but the handling of this entire case has me outraged!! I mean one second someone is charged with incest...then its taken off. One man isnt charged with incest but then its added. They have had 4 months or more already....get it right and protect the children in that community....put the rapists in jail and FIND BW!!!

And this from the owner of Brittney's Home Town Search FB page:

"The Hometown search for Brittney Wood: Brittney did NOT walk to Styx River Donnie picked her up in Mobile and took her there that has been confirmed. And thanks for letting us know there are no Fliers there anymore. We live in Mobile and I assume once our focus changed to Grandbay they removed the Fliers If anyone is in that area and can hand More out to the stores that would be great I have had to go back into store here in my area and give them new fliers. And we are still having a problem with walmart letting us hang them in there?"

Hopefully Brittney's Dad Wally has a hand in how the donations are used.

Their son can sit in jail awaiting his day in court for all I'm concerned. Ugh moo

My thoughts exactly, and from what I can tell, much of the people in that areas thoughts. I know they want DW out of jail, however he will get a trial and his release or sentence can be determined then. I believe the focus should be whole heartedly on BW now and that any monitary or physical volunteer the family can get at this time should be used for finding BW. I think the community will be more likely to help. As far as WHanke...he seems to be working his butt off to solve this. I hope he brings his baby girl home!!

On the family's latest FB post, there is a comment made that made my eyes bug out a little.

She said that sure, BW's family was a bit dysfunctional, but aren't ALL of our families?

I really doubt that the charges brought against these family members are a big yawn to most people because it's totally normal. Or am I that out of touch?

Sorry, but that comment really knocked me out.
