I think Chessie was well aware of what was happening.
Do you all really think DH killed himself?
Im having second thoughts on that.

DH was the main ingredient in all this chaos.

I've always questioned if DH really killed himself. If he didn't, then someone else killed him.

Why would somebody else kill DH? How much worse could what happened over the past few months been, if DH was alive, and for whom? If somebody else killed DH, then did that same person harm Brittney?
I've never questioned that DH killed himself, I'll have to give it some thought.
I think about Brittney every day. I always hoped she was alive, but am losing hope as the months go by. Fred West might have introduced Rose into sexual abuse and murder, but in the end she was the dominant one. A monster.

There isnt a doubt in my pea brain that DH killed himself. I also wonder if WWH didn't run the show.

Brittney alive or dead? I'm still on the fence.

I lean to DH killed himself, though I won't rule out the other possibility until I learn something that makes it impossible. If LE released more information regarding his death that would confirm it was suicide, then I'll rule it out. At this point, for all I know, DH had agreed to flip and tell LE everything and him and Brittney were killed to keep them quiet. There are just so many possibilities.

Funny how I agreed with the post above by Sadnpod about being certain DH killing himself then I agreed with the post by Reedus that someone could have killed DH and Britt to keep them from telling all.
I guess I'm sure of something one minute, then not so sure the next. LOL

Don't blame yourself- I feel the same way. It's not us- it's this case that is crazy.

I hope all children have been removed from the homes of the family members involved in this disgusting turn of events.

I can totally relate to this post.

At times I think Britt is dead. The next minute she is in witness protection and/or ran to a safe place.

I can't recall flipping back and forth minute to minute like I have on this case and there is still more to come.

I also hope they get the counseling and care they will need later in life. I know as a suicide survivor (My dad, my aunt, and my best male friend of of 10+ years on 1-9-12) childhood trauma carries on and a lot of pain and later in life when they find out the sad details.it really messed me up for a while when my mom told me the story after I turned 18. He was spoiled and lived off his very wealthy parents, murdered his best friend while I was home (and got off on castle law) was a huge drug addict, cheated a good bit, and threatened to take me and my mom with him on his suicide many times before he put the gun to his head. I hated him and suffered immeasurable pain in conclusion until I finally realized that he did indeed love me very much but he suffered major mental issues. He was the youngest by far (his closest sibling is 13 years older) and was raised like a prince) and would be 55 now. Yet he truly did love me, he just had a ton of issues. I hope the kids understand for the rest of their lives it was NEVER their fault and don't face guilt or be treated as pariahs.

Ain't that the truth. I still lean towards DH having killed himself, like I said. But I won't rule out the other possibilities until something is discovered that makes it impossible. Until then though, the most likely situation is DH killed himself because that is what LE ruled it as, but that doesn't make the other scenarios impossible at this point.

Bump for Britt!

BUMP!!!!! And prayers for Brittney. This is such a frustrating case; especially for Brittney's loved ones.

I always try and work out what the motive might be for murdering a person. I struggle with DH and Brittney because I just can't see a reason for him to have killed her.

Even if she had evidence against him, it was the evidence of others that would have likely seen him facing charges along with the rest of his family. And if he planned to kill himself anyway, what did it matter to him? Unless he didn't plan that, and committed suicide in a rush because of what he'd done to Brittney.

I suppose I still wonder if there is any possibility Brittney was killed to protect someone else - that she was the only one who had evidence against that person, and that person has no risk of being charged now that Brittney has disappeared.

What motivation was so compelling to DH that he had to kill himself? That's what stumps me. Could there be something even worse that had to be kept quiet at all costs that both DH and Brittney knew? JMO, but I don't think I can handle something even worse that was going on.

I reckon DH just didn't have the guts to face the consequences of his (long term) actions- thus the suicide.
Why he might kill Britney before he suicided has never made sense to me- if she was a witness, she was only one of however many, and it seems like they were "close", that he had some affection for her. If he did kill her, where is her body?
I'm sorry, nothing new, just the same questions I've been asking myself for six months.

(Perhaps. Perhaps she is out there somewhere, preparing for Christmas surrounded by "new people", missing her little girl, for sure, but maybe not the rest)

I hope it is something good (well, as "good" as can be expected). :please:

I can't believe that Brittney is anything but deceased given the time and expense that Klaas Kids has spent on her searches.

Is there still a reward? Or did they use that money some other way? I often wonder why the fundraising ceased.
