What a good idea, StaceyMarie!
I thought Uncle Donnie was the 1st poi, simply because he had suicided, and she was missing, and he was the last person reported to have seen her..
Early on, the police seemed to be saying that she was missing by choice, and I hoped this was true, perhaps her life had just become too difficult? I don't think I ever really did more than hope that this was so though. Dark thoughts of some sort of sexual abuse and murder, followed by the uncle suiciding in shame and remorse played heavily on my mind early on.
The revelations about the investigations of the Uncle, and then multiple members of the family that followed, for the sexual abuse and endangerment of more than one child have been deeply troubling. I have felt concerned about the apparent lack of effort, (for want of a better word), that some family members, as well as local LE, seem to have put in to investigating the loss of Brittney. I feel convinced that, whatever has become of Brittney, more than one person knows about it, and that some people who should have her welfare upmost in their minds do not, for reasons of their own.
I hope, hope, hope, that Brittney is "out there" somewhere, but there are so many reasons to think this is not so.
I feel really sad that she has had such a tough time of it in her short life, and would love to be able to tell her how much she DOES MATTER.
