The news video just says that Casey White's brother walked away from his home and went into the woods on October 27,2017, five years ago, and never came out. No one knows why, and there is still no clue on what happened, and why. It is still an open case.

I actually wonder if the brother had been contacting CW via a fake name. Maybe they are together.

Interesting. So they were sending him back to prison when he escaped. I wonder why he was being sent back? And when? Where they having problems with him? Or her? Or both of them? He must really have been feeling the pressure to get out of there before that transfer happened. jmo

I dunno. Think of all the women who continue to get fleeced by romance scams. Newspapers and the web are full of them. All sorts of advice comes from the FBI, psychologists, etc warning women of the habits of romance scammers but each woman swears he loved her, even as she was handing them over her life savings. It's an epidemic.

So in some ways, I can see a women like VM who has lived a fairly isolated existence being flattered by attention and listening to the trials and tribulations offered by someone like this guy and start believing they've gotten a raw deal.

It doesn't make sense to me because I can figure out someone's number pretty quickly, but who knows, maybe I've never met that one person who could convince me to engage in illegal activities and think I was performing a righteous act.

Wow below marke value! WHY? For what! For a murderer? Its like she didn't even think of this! Its so bizarre on so many levels! I mean think of her thought process. For a life on the lam? Because someone sweet talks to you and feeds you sweet nothings! Low level of self esteem. Possible shoot out down the road! OMG! This guy doesn't care about anyone but himself! Sweet nothings over a possible shootout at some point!

It’s hard to believe. I truly wonder what she thought would happen once he got out. What did she imagine her life would be like? And what about her mother? What would happen to her? Did she think she’d never talk to her again?

Wondering if VW used the library computers for her research.
Wondering if either one of them is a smoker. They will run out at some point.

I wonder about her browsing history on devices too. And I also hope they’ve thoroughly interviewed family members of both VW and CW to surface any locations where either of them camped or traveled or had familiarity with. Sometimes people flee to an area where they still feel a degree of knowledge about their surroundings.

On CW’s missing brother, it did raise the same question in my mind. Any chance he’s alive and even laid the groundwork for going off grid? But seems cut too “straight from a Hollywood script.” More likely the brother may have had some enemies or involvement in enterprises that disappeared him. But we will see…

Casey & Steven White apparently share the same father but not mother, possibly making them half-brothers?

Steven is mentioned in a brother's obit where Casey is a pallbearer.

I'm confused. CW was never convicted of murder/homicide. He confessed to murdering Connie Ridgeway but recanted. He was sentenced to 75 years in Limestone County for kidnapping, attempted murder, robbery and burglary.

Why would the U.S. Marshall's office list a homicide conviction? What have I missed?

Investigators: Vicky White, Casey White had ‘special relationship’

It seems they've confirmed the rumors:


The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office says investigators have confirmed that there was “a special relationship” between Vicky White and Casey White at the jail.

Vicky White, the assistant director and the county jail, and Casey White, a suspected murderer, have been missing since disappearing together Friday.

The sheriff’s office said inmates at the Lauderdale County Detention Center told them about the relationship, and “independent sources and means” have confirmed that information.

This guy is a conman, no doubt. Reading about this case is reminding me of one of my dad’s cousins. About 15 years ago, she, as an elderly woman, somehow got connected to an (younger) inmate in a local prison. They started a ‘relationship’ and when he got out she was there to pick him up and take him to a motel, where he promptly murdered and robbed her, going on the run and being apprehended near the border in San Diego. I hope this doesn’t turn out the same…
