I just think their choice of vehicle is hilarious. You'd be hard pressed to find anything more conspicuous.

That’s why I wondered if it was misdirection. But, maybe it was just the cheapest she could find. (I’m assuming that it was bought by her before the escape, but we actually don’t have any evidence of that?)

So he's not a murderer? There was no killing spree? Why are there so many inconsistencies? This is giving me a headache.

C’mon, Jail Orange is the new black!

I’m guessing they didn’t want her aliases released.

And he keeps getting bigger with every poster. 6’9” 300-330 lbs.

‘Do not approach’. No risk of me doing that.
Also, be very careful of her “ Waddling Gait…”, that might be dangerous on its own…

I was thinking she may have done this for "insurance" purposes. Make it appear as if she had every intention of retiring so that if she's later caught, she can claim to be a victim and try to use that action as evidence of such. Although, if that was the case, why not start the process sooner than the day before your last planned day.

Do we know that she hadn't planned or said anything to anyone about retiring prior to Thursday? Sorry if I'm being, I'm doing my best to get caught up!
In yesterday's press conference the sheriff said she had talked about retirement for awhile but didn't submit her papers until the day before the escape. They were to meet this week to officially talk about it. jmo

He was convicted of several crimes in 2015 but not murder/homicide. He got a 75 year state prison sentence for several counts after attacking his ex-girlfriend and injuring a woman badly when he tried to steal her vehicle the same night.

He confessed to the Connie Ridgeway murder, which is how he ended up back in county jail. Then he recanted with a mental illness defense. He was due to go back to the prison very soon.

Imagine working with these people for 25 years? I'd be bonkers, too.

Going to try to go back and go through all 49 pages of this thread so I can join the discussion!

Thanks for the simple summary. Makes me think they’ve been planning this for the past 2 years. Sadly for Connie’s family, I think his confession to her murder, was false - just part of the escape plan.

Diabolical if true.

So….why does Vicky White have two aliases?

“We found her radio, sheriff’s department radio. You know, and the court found the leg shackles and handcuffs,” said Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton.

Detectives also believe Vicky has her phone but it is turned off. "It wasn’t left in the car. You know, we’ve attempted using technology. We haven’t had any success with it,” said Singleton.

Snipped by me

How could the court have found his shackles and cuffs when they went directly from the jail to the shopping center in just 8 minutes? I wonder where her radio was found, if not in the ditched vehicle? Did she keep it with her for a while to listen and make sure they weren't detected yet?

If it waddles like a duck . . . don't be fooled! Could be a dangerous fugitive!

Inaccurate reporting.

It would be funny to see him run.

He's tall, he's heavy, and they're driving a very conspicuous vehicle. I'm almost surprised they haven't been found yet.

I'm just waiting to hear about a standoff...

He's over a foot taller than her. I can't for the life of me see her escorting him out of jail and nobody thinking she might need assistance. It's nuts.

  • #979
VW is sounding like a competent accomplice in this, not a manipulated victim.

I'm wondering how he even fits in the Edge!
