I wonder how close to the jail the hotel room was? The video just said she got a room last week, they didn't say for how long she had the room - was this the stash pad they headed to after they changed cars so they could change clothes and their appearance?

I wonder if Casey had any unexpected appointments come up last week that VW escorted him to alone?

Yes my thought as well. Sheriff needs to stop trying to minimize what went on at his Jail. It's blatantly clear. To me.

It's clear to me as well.

The first known physical contact between them was in 2020 when CW was transferred to the county jail waiting for an arraignment for capital murder. While he was there they discovered he had an escape plan that involved hostages and he had a shank on him. He was then transferred back to the state prison until Feb 2022 when he transferred back to the county jail for court hearings.

Why would they allow CW to be in the jail for weeks on end when he had a escape plan with hostages and a shank the last time he was at the same county jail?

They have some explaining to do for sure.

Someone said that he has White Supremacy tattoos. If that’s true then he’s unlikely to receive a pleasant reception in Mexico or Cuba.
Yes, one of the wanted posters say he has a rebel flag that says southern pride along with the SS "cracker bolts".

I hear Florida and all I think is how close Cuba is. Just got to get to shore. If it was planned, a boat trip doesn't seem that far fetched.
Having lived in Florida for 15 years, it is a magnet for criminals, fugitives and all sorts of odd people, however it has become so heavily populated and expensive, that I don’t think going there would be a smart move for them. I think it’s more likely that all the talk of Florida was to make LE focus there. It would make much more sense to me that they headed to heavily forested mountain areas where you might be able to rent a secluded cabin. JMO

There is no way other people didn't know about the relationship. If he was getting extra food, then she told someone to give it to him. They had to wonder why. I mean come on. They just weren't reporting it, but I can't believe no one thought that was odd.

You know the saying, "snitches get stitches"? IMO that's the reason why.

According to MSM VW was with the department for about 16 years. Do we know what she did for employment prior to around 2006?

She was married for around 3 years and divorced in 1991.
I’m sure others have noticed this too, but different articles list different timespans. This one below says 25 years, for example. So I’ve always wondered if that’s a typo…or if she worked elsewhere in the Sheriff’s office before transferring to her role in corrections. Unfortunately, the two are already lying low. So probably the best we are going to get today is more information about how it all went down.

If we are really lucky, we will hear from someone who saw them or their vehicle somewhere or who rented them a room or sold them a car etc.

But I don’t think we will see any fresh current sightings anytime soon.
I am usually wrong when I try to sleuth where people might have gone. I never thought Tad Cummins would end up in California, for example. I don't think Mexico is their best choice. They'd be better off going for a little cabin somewhere off the beaten path or to a big city where they can hide in plain sight. Maybe she's already picked up enough supplies for a month or so of laying low. I agree with you, I don't think they are on the move at present, although I would not rule out the possibility that they will not stay at their present location indefinitely. MOO

I think the same thing. I guess she could’ve made up a reason about his large size and proportionate meals, but it seems ridiculous others didn’t notice her swinging by his cell etc. Maybe she was so trusted by that point that she offered a reasonable explanation for investing more time in him — like “I’ve been trying to influence this one to get back on the right path for a long time. I just can’t give up on people.”

I'm not sure where else he should be when waiting for his arraignment. It does sound crazy but even county jails regularly deal with nuts who think they can escape, personnel are just meant to be trained and equipped to handle it and not help them escape. :)

They did say she was with the department for 16 years so. It's very possible she worked in a different department within the Sheriff's Office prior to that.

I hope the FBI is scouring the papework submitted for the pension. Looking for any contact information. I wonder if they would distribute it by a bank transfer that could be traced.

If she intended to cash out, it's important to get ahold of the contact information and stop any cash distribution.

It might be a couple hundred thousand dollars. If they don't have access to that money, things will get ugly much faster.

I would think there would be better practices in place while he was in the county jail waiting for court hearings. Such as not being allowed to leave the jail for any purpose no matter how many staff escorted him or video hearings from the state prison. I know VW broke the rules, but still there has to be better practices in place for criminals like him.

Where did VW take her vacations? Was it known amongst her friends and family she was a beach-lover? Did she take her mom and nephew to the mountains? What hobbies does she have, especially anything that could aid in their survival, such as gardening, farming, hunting. what about church membership, social clubs, etc.

Its easy to paint her as a lonely single woman easily swayed by CW's charming lies because she's living a solitary life with only work and her elderly mother for company, but I dont think that's true. she had to do something with her time away from the jail, even if she watched TV for 8 hours a day.

Besides being a criminal, does CW have any employment history or special training? especially something he could do for cash under the table. thinking a construction/day laborer type of thing.

have we found any kind of social media for either of them?

I've been thinking that event was a VW/CW Escape Plan 1.0 where the plan was that she would be a 'hostage' seemingly taken under knifepoint but they messed up by having him armed beforehand, which his shanks were found in the shower so he got caught and sent away until early this year. What happened now might have been Escape Plan 2.0 where this time he didn't have any weapons on him to have someone else foil the plan.

Very likely. So what's the 3.0 plan for after the escape? Or is it the 2.1 plan?

If the plan is just to be free, then I think they are holed up in a cabin in the hills somewhere that she has prepared ahead of time. But if their plan is to be in amongst people, then a short blond woman and a 6'6" man are going to stick out like sore thumbs in Mexico or Cuba or anywhere south of the border. MOO MOO MOO

She would be on the state retirement system, meaning she was a government worker of some type in the state. She wouldn't have had to work for the Sheriff specifically to accumulate 25 years for a state pension, just working in government within the state.

Did you find a link for this? That she did book a hotel room? Asking because I wasn't able to verify it and I'd like to be able to speculate about her reasons.

I thought that originally, too, but the timelines I started seeing later yesterday had her getting divorced in 1991, 31 years ago.

Says 16 years ago here. However it also states she worked there for 25 years. Accuracy not 100% I'm saying. JMO
Family of Alabama jail officer who 'helped an inmate escape' says she wouldn't have gone willingly | Daily Mail Online

However, Frances White, Vicky's former mother-in-law, told DailyMail.com on Sunday that the accusations against Vicky don't match the 'awfully good person' she knows.

'I can't understand her leaving with a guy she knew was a murderer,' said Frances, 88, who said she last spoke to her about a month ago. 'If he killed one person, he'd kill another.'

The jails guard divorced White's son 16 years ago after being married for just a few years, but the mother-in-law said the two remained friendly until his death in January.

They both have probably dyed their hair a different color. She probably has cut hers too. Size not appearance is what is going to be noticeable.
