Yeah, they'd have to have a clean car, valid plates and registration, not connected to either of them. A long-term "crack rental" is a possibility. that's where a drug user with a vehicle that's street legal exchanges it for drugs. Usually crack rentals are short term, not even a day, only a few hours to move drugs around. However, could easily see someone with a drug habit being talked into a longer term arrangement for enough cash/drugs. And drug users are less likely to go to the police to report anything.
I don't think they'd go rental. Florida has many vacation home trailer / mobile home type parks. And often they are owned by out of state folks. They come up for sale all the time due to the passing of their owners and have out of state relatives looking to sell them for cash quickly. Vicky would need some sort of passable fake ID to show at closing. Or have a 3rd party take title. Checking recent mobile harm park or isolated vacation home sales in Florida might be worth LE's time. You'd be looking for names on the title that raise red flags. Either people without matching history or folks who may have some connection to either Vicky or Casey.
