It was reported that In 2015 that he had told his ex girlfriend that when he got out that he was going to kill her and her sister. That a possible destination

The agency said Casey White threatened his ex-girlfriend and her sister in 2015 if he ever got out, "he would kill them and he wanted police to kill him." Authorities have warned the inmate's "potential targets" and taken measures to protect them, the Marshals Service said.
Right. I think I heard the ex he threatened was in TN though?

I honestly do not believe he will threaten them as long as VW is still alive. She isn't going to go along with that. If her status changes, then all bets are off. He'll be caught/killed though if he tries, as they have FBI protection. I personally don't see that they would have headed up that direction. I still believe they are looking for their own private little utopia.

I see it this way too.

That's what meth is for ;)
Sorry, I just remember reading CW might have some history with that.
That's going to be a major issue for him. He may not be able to help himself, and people on drugs not only take risks, but draw attention to themselves when they are making purchases.

With or without drugs though, this guy doesn't exactly have a history conducive to making smart decisions. He's too impulsive for this to go on for any significant length of time.

I agree this guy is not heavily at risk as he’d likely not be a target to CW, but I understand why some people might be losing sleep over CW being out. He’s a wild card.

I had wondered about this. At some point maybe exhausted, money running low, tired of hiding, they could get drunk and decide to end it right there. I remember all the speculation about where Brian Laundrie could be hiding, until they found him dead by suicide. Different circumstances, but even so….
Or he used her for the escape and later will off her. You know he had been planning on an escape at another facility and I believe this was not the first time that he had been transported only having one officer.

As important as it is to try and track these two from the point of the abandoned car, I imagine investigators are looking much further back.

Where did Vicky go on her days off, and what purchases did she make?

Hopefully she slipped up, and traveled with her phone turned on when she was making her preparations.

There has to be an extensive trail here.
Absolutely. Hopefully they can track her internet search history (even if she was savvy enough to delete it) as well, which would include any mail order purchases. Like many people thought Brian Laundrie stocked up on 100 MREs and took off to the Appalachian Trail - maybe these two did!

Which state do you think they are in tonight, and why?
Texas, because it is big, a good distance away from Alabama, has big cities, small cities, beaches, and lots of wide open spaces. And their southern accents wouldn't stand out there. SWAG on my part.

Just sitting here thinking and wondering how long VW can even stand this. She's been single and in charge of her own life for years now. Owned her own home. Had her own routines. CW can't possibly be the same in person 24/7 as he seemed in jail. She can't possibly still like being stuck with him 24/7 at this point, despite any exciting purchases she made beforehand....???? Reality has to be setting in by now. Unless they were able to find a nice quiet AirBNB near the ocean and they are actually living it up somehow in a nice place with room to stretch out and relax, and order food delivery.

I'll give them ten more days to leave the next clue before I call it a murder-suicide.

Reading some of the recent speculation in this thread, I'm beginning to think that an out-of-season vacation home in a remote locale would make a lot of sense as a hiding place.

I can see some vague similarities to the Jayme Closs case, where it turned out that Jake Patterson was holding her in a vacation home owned by his family in an area that was very sparsely populated that time of year. (Of course, the White case is *not* a kidnapping, and LE in the Closs case didn't know they were looking for Patterson specifically until Closs escaped). My point, though, is that maybe VW somehow knew of a specific vacation home that isn't being used and has simply moved in for the time being.

All of that money will go a long way in Mexico

Maybe. I don’t see it though. I think it’s the two of them against the world and she tried to plan it out as meticulously as she could so that they’d have the least risk of being caught. I don’t think she’d want to bring anyone in. It’s just one more person that could talk or make a mistake or give something away. Just my opinion.

Honestly if they're receiving help from one or more individuals it would definitely explain a few things for me. She could indeed be a meticulous planner, and they are benefitting from a good share of dumb luck, but I'm glad LE are actively pursuing that avenue.

Just a gut feeling, but I'll bet they're within a 200 mile radius of the Lauderdale County Jail.
IMO, you go with what is familiar.

Was thinking along those lines the other day. She has NO idea what he will be like "in real life" and they won't even have a "real life" in hiding. He won't have a job. They can't go out to dinner, go shopping without disguises. What kind of life did she envision this would be other than s*x and ... ? Does she have NO fear about his past and how it may get turned on her?!! And she surely must know about his medical issues, so how does she think she will acquire enough meds for him for life? I mean, even if some friend has them holed up on their very rural property somewhere - say in a small RV parked in the midst of what looks like a junkyard so it wouldn't be noticeable, that's a downgrade from her large home with running water and amenities.

Renting a home online is super easy and you really don't have to prove your identity. Just use your credit card and give a name and sign the papers. A lot of times the owners don't even check in. They just own the home and send housekeepers. We have rented remote places in the mountains of North Carolina before. Really pretty and relaxing places. Except they're usually booked up at this time of year (the nice ones) so they would have needed to find something small and remote that wouldn't be super popular, if they wanted to rent it out for awhile.

On the other hand, a rural, dead end road would be perfect for swapping cars as they could reasonably assume the only traffic they might encounter would be from the handful of people that happen to live on that road. MOO.
It was not a dead-end road. It was near a country road intersection, but not a dead end.

This is the first I realized it was Dead End! Thanks for informing me. I already thought the breakdown was part of the plan. This cements it’s more.
It was not a dead-end road.

No I don't think it was to draw attention to them because they did everything else about the plan discreetly as we know. The reporter showed us where she parked it was out of the way and there were no CCTV cameras around so IMO it was discreet. But bungling yes definately especially trying to spray paint it. She may have chosen this particular vehicle for him to hide in. So he had enough space to lay down. or crouch down. I think it has to do with space and utility and since this was the perfect car for the plan but no other color was available (at the auction?)
The police vehicle was parked in the parking lot that had no cameras.

The orange SUV was parked in a row with other for-sale vehicles.

The orange SUV was purchased from a local dealer (not at an auction).

Just goes to show how different we all look at things. I have been telling myself that if they’re not receiving help that explains how they’ve been able to lay low so long. Because the more people who know, the higher the risk.
