Illinois press conference:

Learned today that the suspect vehicle was near their sheriff's office. They fled on highway. Marshals task force collided with then to end the pursuit. Female driver shot herself, and he was injured but not seriously.

Her injuries are very serious. Not sure where she was shot, but it was self inflicted. She is still alive at this point."

Asked why they stayed: "They're criminals, and sometimes criminals do unexplainable things. We're glad they did."

No lie. Right before this all went down, I wondered if they might end up in a car accident they were on the road and traveling so much. I told myself no way such luck it would be so easy as that. Just wow!

If her injuries are serious that ambulance should have torn outta there. I don’t think they’re allowed to confirm death publicly before family is notified. I also didn’t see CPR being done in the video.
