Listening to his former lawyer describe CW from his experience dealing with him gives me more perspective. It seems CW did not just have your garden variety mental illness ( no intent to diminish those types btw ) but CW had a pretty severe mental illness requiring Anti Psychotic drugs.

I didn’t interpret it as her blaming him at all. I don’t think she sounded angry with him, I think the severity and finality of the situation was dawning on her and she was getting desperate. The hotel may have felt like “home” to them, a safe place where they wanted to get to. Jmo

ETA I can hear her say “back to the hotel” I think. I don’t hear what that source says.
I agree. It sounded like in desperation she wanted to get back to the hotel.
Not angry at him.

In the 7 minute audio near the end, it sounded like the LE who retrieved the gun said "do you want me to pull her out" and then, "someone pull me" Not 100% sure so it's JMO. If you click on the little dots you can slow it down and make out much more of what is being said.
i don’t know how I did this or how to delete the post altogether? Sorry.

Casey and Vicky White remained in touch via phone over the next two years, Singleton said. Wow shouldn't that have raised some red flags or is it allowed?
This would be most probably by cell phones. It is common in prison for inmates to get cell phones snuck in to them. And, often share their cells with other inmates. I assume VW most likely gave a cell phone to CW. Or Vw could have put money anonymously in his account so he could purchase calling cards.

Clearly, hours later the corrected information was reported by Sheriff Wedding. I trust OP will edit their post to avoid perpetuating inaccurate info on the thread.

[Original story, published at 12:21 p.m ET]

Authorities are releasing new details of the final moments of Monday's police chase that ended fugitive Alabama inmate Casey White's 11 days on the run with a former corrections officer -- who investigators say may have ended her own life during the pursuit.

As Casey White tried to drive away from pursuing officers in the southern Indiana city of Evansville, his passenger -- the former corrections officer Vicky White -- indicated during a call with police dispatchers she had a gun, a sheriff said Tuesday.

By the time the chase ended in a wreck and officers approached the car, Vicky White "was unconscious with a gunshot wound to her head, and (Casey White) gave up without incident," Dave Wedding, sheriff of Indiana's Vanderburgh County, told CNN on Tuesday.

Motel would be a better place for a shoot out instead of an open field.

Finally the first dispatch call , as I posted above , except this one has what they are saying.

@simlyme thank you so very much!!! I did not hear that one at all yesterday, I was trying to figure out where there was a female dispatcher on the 911 call because the only one I heard yesterday was that one with about 30 seconds of audio total in the 7 minute taped call. That was not even clear. Now I know what some members were saying here.
Is there a link for the full audio?

Bonnie and Clyde -- something not very glamorous about leading cops on a chase through a parking lot.

It's like a slapstick parody of a great escape.

Except no part of it is funny.

If this was a plan long in the making, you'd think she'd have bought and stashed cars, wigs, men's big and talls well in advance.

Whose idea was the green paint, I have to wonder.

Can't help but think they'd reached their final destination and were merely waiting for LE to show up, for the end game.

I wonder where they were headed, had they not been stepped. Iowa? McDonald's?

The system should've had safeguards to prevent the likes of this from happening. Oh, wait. She was the system.

They best keep him forever shackled.

Here’s more from his lawyer.
And much more about his crimes. Chilling details imo

I think its confusing and still unclear for sure who was driving. Depends on what media is reporting it. Both versions are out there in various places. jmo

What side did Casey exit the car from?

The first thing I hear her say is ”the airbags are going to kill us”. Then somewhere close after she says “let’s get out and run.”

Two things: In the case of suicide did she prefer the gun over the airbags at that moment? And second, clearly she isn’t in her right mind to think they have any chance of running without being caught.

Anyone know what side of the car Casey exited from, and which side Vicky was pulled from? I haven’t looked closely at the car yet.

MOO MOO MOO

I transcribed the 911 dispatch radio released Monday into the basement and am just now transcribing the newly-released full 7min 20sec 911 audio. I am no further caught up than when this new audio was released today/discussed here so if any of my assertions are misguided, please let me know. I have some thoughts after reviewing just the first 45 seconds of this audio. MOO

1. I'm unsure if this is the raw audio. At 00:05-00:07 00:17-00:22 it's possible VW saying "f*cking" was edited out.
*Gasp* Please stop. The [ ] airbags gonna go off 'n' kill us.
Get us back to the [unknown] hotel.

2. I am 99.9999% certain I hear 3 voices between 00:26 and 00:30. I cannot make out what CW is possibly saying. My ears are hearing:
-- "is that our phone"
-- "who's on the phone"
-- "is that in the road"
...so... clearly not definitive. Would really love other thoughts.

3. I will post the 45 seconds of transcription into the basement right now (link above) and will try to transcribe the remainder later this evening.

I watched the video but it was hard to tell.

Maiden name was Davis. (One of her aliases was April Davis. I don’t think we know if that was ID taken from a real relative, or just a first name chosen randomly, and a surname she felt comfortable with.)

I haven’t heard anything about your other questions. At first, we often heard that she’d worked for the state/county for 25 years. Lately, the news seems to be saying that she was at the jail for 16 or 17 years. Possibly worked at some other job for the county?

If she wasn’t a loner, she certainly had very circumspect friends.
It's possible that her name was "April Victoria (Davis) White" or something like that.

I did read (don't remember where) that she had been married, and her husband died a few years ago after a long illness, and she just wasn't "right" afterwards (not uncommon, but people don't usually do things like this). IDK if they had any children.

EDIT to Point #1 from my post above:
The audio potentially censored is not from 00:05-00:07 -- it's from 00:17-00:22 when VW says "Get us back to the [unknown] hotel."

It’s a good thing they weren’t apprehended at their motel room. It would have been awful.
