I can’t give much info in terms of the investigation, but I gave a hypothetical in thread 1 that was quickly dismissed. Personally, when trying to sleuth what may have happened, I think more thought needs to be given to that scenario.

From what I was told, she was back to working doubles in less than a week after the baby was born.

That would have been exhausting for her. Physically, mentally and emotionally. Sounds like she was in a hurry to pivot directions and move on from the voluntary loss of her own baby. She has one child whom she loves. She knows, or thought she did, what she gave up. She was self motivated, deliberate and focused on one thing. A better life for herself and her daughter.

I know what you're talking about (and think those are incredibly exploitive) and I don't think this is one of them.

This is beautifully put, Ima. Well said. I truly can't imagine what it must have felt like to be fighting for your daughter and then give birth to another baby who is in your arms and willingly give him up to another family. It is just so selfless.

The Mobile Police Department is offering $2,000 to anyone that can offer information that leads to the discovery of missing Mobile woman Danniella Vian.

MPD Chief of Police Lawrence Battiste said that Vian's case is not an ordinary missing person scenario.

"Some people go missing because they want to," he said during a press conference Thursday , while also adding that Vian had no history of disappearing. "There is nothing that has led investigators to where she might be."

What is an "ordinary missing person scenario"? Is that code for runaway? I guess a missing person and her car disappearing into thin air is pretty extraordinary.

The public (and us, really) know next to nothing about her.. even our VI couldnt tell us a single hobby she had, or a hobby she and TT had together over the last 6+ years.

I would like one of Danniella's friends to join WS. The only useful thing an "insider" can provide is factual information and color commentary about the missing person. We can all read LE releases and MSM articles. But you're right, what did she like to do everyday? Her goals list had drawings and calligraphy on it, did she like to draw? She liked tattoos, was she planning to get more? Her goals list said "start school" - what did she want to study, what did she want to be?

Yeah I know about 24 hour booking but you can only see who’s in jail currently right? You can’t search past inmates can you ?

I still don't know.... I mean, "IF" had recently given birth and gave the baby up for adoption, she may be able to walk away from her oldest child as well. I am not her, and don't know how she felt about any of this. But I can see where she may have left to start all over, an attempt to leave it all behind her and start a new life. I truly just don't know.

I am answering questions to the best of my ability and have never wavered in what I’ve said. I did not bring up the LoJack; I’ve always said that it was the built in GPS.

I also never said RC & MK were at Ollie’s. I didn’t mention anything about that until today, at which time I said they weren’t there.

I’m relatively sure @Tricia and the other WS Admin would agree when I say please don’t confuse what I’ve said with the theories y’al have thrown out and analyzed.

We all understand the facts change as investigations go on, but we are not the ones confused about what's being posted. Respect is a two-way street. Otto and I are verified professional experts at WS entitled to the same respect and deference that "insiders" are given. You are not posting as an LE expert or a professional missing person's advocate, you are posting as a friend of the missing person's family. We welcome your theories and particularly any information about the missing person we are all concerned about. As Tricia said, you do not have to provide links when you discuss rumors and hearsay and unverifiable information. But we are allowed to treat it as that. And we are free to present evidence within TOS that disputes any rumors or hearsay that you post. I normally scroll and roll but repeatedly of accusing me and other posters of intentionally misrepresenting information is a step too far for me.

And the more I think about it, the more ridiculous it is to keep pointing at the last people who were with DNV because they aren't talking to the media or a Facebook group. Really?

Any time I have ever represented a witness during an interview by LE (including FBI agents, local PD, federal prosecutors, agency attorneys) they always ask the witness to not discuss the interview with anyone else and to please keep both the fact of the investigation and the subject of the investigation confidential. Depending on the case they will say that discussing the interview can influence other witnesses who have not yet talked to the police, and can compromise the integrity of the investigation.

Of course, not everyone listens. But the fact that witnesses are abiding by what I know for a fact LE says every time they conduct an interview... It's not strange. Particularly if they are not the subject of the investigation or they have been cleared.

In my experience people tend to start discussing what they discussed with LE when they feel threatened or they feel LE is leaking information to the press. The urge to defend yourself is great (even understandable) if you feel you are being misrepresented. But when LE also keeps information close, there's less of a risk that a witness will talk out of line.

I am reminded of this in the recent case of Kiera Bergman...

Her roomie seemed quite a suspicious character when she refrained from discussing the case on SM... Or elsewhere...

I know I thought she had something to hide...:blush:

As it turns out... She was an important witness that helped LE catch the perp...:jail:
And was "laying low" so as to not contaminate the investigation...

Good Morning! A thought just occurred to me. I wonder if DNV and JD's fiancé were friends? What was reportedly done to her in the three weeks prior to JD's arrest seemed like plenty for LE to investigate. As @Alethea mentioned there must have been enough evidence to support her story and have the bail increased. Why would she have had to add DNV? If she was locked up for 3 weeks, wasn't there anyone to report her missing?

JDT ended up with C at DV's request. DV is estranged from her own mother and didn't want her to have the ability to see/have custody of C. But DV knew she wasn't in a position to take care of her, so custody was given, again, at her request, to JDT.
