And the victim reportedly told LE that JDT mentioned DNV while he had her imprisoned. The family has come out to say she only said it out of spite. My thoughts have always been she obviously had enough injures to convince LE she was telling the truth, she did not have to bring up DNV. And if you were involved in someone’s disapperance and someone threatened to tell LE, maybe you would lock them up, and use there phone to make it appear all was okay. This girl was locked up for three weeks and was not reported missing. Interesting.

So the family accused his victim of adding false info about DNV to her own story out of “spite”? That speaks volumes about the family to me and is actually very concerning. Do you have a link to that? Does it state what family members made this claim against his victim?

First she's buying drugs with DW at the Shell station, then she's alone with the drug dealers for 15 minutes at the Shell station, then she's driving to a "bad place" to buy drugs - and then what? It seems that the drug-buy theory is so farfetched that we have to really stretch the imagination to get her to a place where her disappearance is a result of a mad-drug-search - while her friends waited patiently at Ollies.

I never mentioned it being a bad place to buy drugs... I said it was in a bad part of town. And that something could have happened on the way there. I have an excellent memory and research is what I do. Ive actually not mentioned her buying drugs anymore really at all and never actually said she was. I just was commenting on the location of the establishment. Being a local I was simply offering insight. My theories may be far fetched, just as well as yours or anyone else’s because we simply don’t know a whole lot at all. I do however know that I have lived in Mobile, Al for 38 years of my life. Currently live 1 minute from Dublin’s, Ive worked 4 minutes from the Shell station for the last 18 years, I grew up on (for 12 years) the same exact street JCD was arrested on for. I have friends and family of all walks of life some of them addicts some recovering addicts. I know a lot about every area discussed. So when the Buddha place was mentioned and the fact that she “supposedly” was heading towards midtown (in that direction) it raised red flags to me. I wouldn’t feel safe in that area during the day, much less alone at night.

Also all mothers are tested for drugs and their babies in Alabama along with many other states.

I have a good friend whose job involves inforcing the drug laws here in Mobile, AL. Here in MOBILE low grade marijuana is not what is commonly sought or bought. They buy expensive more addicting high grade marijuana (much higher level of THC)

It sounds like a crazy out of his mind drug binge. I wonder what cocaine would do to someone with violent tendencies. 25 days of cocaine would be expensive. Maybe he came into an inheritance, or did he have a high paying job? Maybe it wasn't a cocaine binge and he's a sociopath.

It was on the FB account so I cannot post it but it was JDT. A few folks did call her out for victim shaming which was surprising.

I really do not think anyone is trying to be rude. It has just been very frustrated trying to decipher fact from fiction in this case. If you get down to the LE info that we actually know, then the drive to midtown is just a statement by the family, not verified. So that would put the Budda place in the same category. It has just really been circles here and not much substance. We do appreaciate your local insight but a lot of us have decided not to go on information that has not been verified but LE or MSM.

I really appreciate the local color. I think it's very helpful and some of the only objective facts we have to consider. The fact is, DNV and DW were going somewhere when they left Dublin's. We know they weren't going directly to Ollie's because they traveled miles in the opposite direction. I think any suggestion may be relevant because it introduces possibilities for who was Car 3 and who DNV may have been speaking to before leaving Dublin's. Either she was going somewhere, or she was going for a joy ride before meeting RC again at Ollie's. Either way, she didn't make it to Ollie's. Where was she going and why?

“The alleged victim in the case filed a petition for a protection order in which she alleged Dykes "raped, beat and held me against my will for 3 1/2 weeks."



The petition goes on to say Dykes "made it clear that he will kill me."

In a handwritten letter filed with the petition, the alleged victim makes the following accusations against Dykes:

"...he took all resources such as my cell phone away from me so I couldn't contact anyone."

"He wouldn't allow me to eat or drink a lot of times and when he did after eating or drinking what he gave me I would become dizzy very sleepy and I would fall asleep until he hit or yelled at me..."

"He tied me up with a amp cord until I passed out and he made me sleep with cord around my throat. He beat me in my face, head and body with a metal rod with a whip attached to the end of it."

Dykes is the cousin of Vian's ex-boyfriend, and family members told News 5 that Vian had been to the property in the past.

I think it was posted that TT was arrested on June 16. Coincidentally that is the day before Danni wrote her goals list. Danni and her car disappeared one month later, the same day that she achieved a major goal.

Man arrested after search linked to Vian case expected in court

This article reporting on JD’s arraignment says this:
“Last week police searched a property near Wigfield Road and Travis Road. Last Thursday Mobile Police had information that led them to believe the property was linked to the Danniella Vian investigation. That was based on information from the victim in this case. Apparently, the search turned up no connection to the missing mom.”

Hmm. This case is an enigma. The reporter does say “apparently” there was no connection to the property and DNV, which tells me that is the reporter’s assumption and wasn’t verified info through LE. A reporter’s assumption means nothing in this case full of people’s assumptions. Give me a fact.

I read that, while he was torturing his girlfriend, JD told her that he would do the same to her that he did to Danni.

Thank you. This could not be more accurate. I took a break yesterday, just some likes and have been catching up today. It is amazing how much gets added to DNV’s story and then taking away. We do not have any more information than when we first started. Seeing three very full threads one would think there must be a good bit of info, but nope, just a lot of not much! Things have been stated, retracted, forgotten, and stated again over and over. I hope LE is able to figure all this out.

Some facts have not changed.

We know the timing of the 3 cars from the video. We know that the last place that Danni was seen is the gas station at 11:24PM. We know that her GPS transmitted prior to arriving at the gas station, and that there is no further information about the car location after it left the gas station.

This means that her GPS stopped transmitting at the gas station. It means that Car 3 disabled or damage the GPS in the car (in the steering column ?). It means that whomever was in Car 3 took Danni and her car, and it would take two drivers to get both cars out of the gas station.

Danni was "occupying" her car.

It does not matter to me personally if she was in fact buying marijuana, pills, or girlscout cookies... the only reason I have made any mention of drugs or sketchy parts of town being associated with the mentioned locations is to get a better idea of where she was going, in order to know who might be responsible for her disappearance. They searched because of a tip; not necessarily because they believed she could be there but, then again, they didn't know and wanted/needed to make sure.

The only connection DNV had to the property is that she had visited with the T family in the past.

TT & JD are cousins but I'm not sure how close they were or how much interaction JD & DNV had.

There's another connection now. A month after Danni and her car vanished, TT's cousin kidnapped his own girlfriend and kept her captive for 25 days. Two other men were on the property and they were both released? I suppose that means that they did not live on the property, because if they did they should have noticed something.

Anyone who accuses a victim of lying to embellish her kidnapping and torture must have hit their head on something. The only alternative is that the liar is attempting to divert attention - definitely curious about who has not been entirely cooperative with police.

Yes. And another very telling thing is while JDT had his girlfriend imprisoned, he posted on FB he got engaged.

I assumed that Danni and DW were going somewhere together, that it didn't matter where they were going, and that along the way she realized that she forgot her phone at The Dublin. He pulled into the Shell station, and they decided to stick together and return to the Dublin together to collect the phone. DW found the phone, Danni didn't arrive. DW waited for Danni and looked for her, then went home. He contacted Danni's ex-boyfriends' family at 7:30 the following morning.

I don't think the where and why matter as much as the who was following her easy to identify new car from The Dublin to the Shell station?

And one of my least favorite facts about domestic violence prosecution is it is very hard to get charges to stick based on the testimony of a victim alone. You are lucky to get a restraining order and the guy is out on bail 2 days later. The fact that the judge ordered him held on $50,000 bond means there is serious physical evidence of a serious crime.
