Doing more research on OnStar. This article wasn't exactly relevant to the purpose of my original search but its quite interesting about how LE can use the OnStar to locate a stolen vehicle, flash its lights and slow the car down starting with model year 2009 according to second article.

OnStar's Stolen Vehicle Slowdown Technology Works--But Will It Get Your Car Back?

OnStar's Latest Gives Control Over Stolen Vehicle to Police

For those that were wondering about OnStar coverage here is the coverage map (short answer AL looks like solid coverage) OnStar Services Coverage Map - Where does OnStar Work - OnStar

This is good information and is very helpful. It at least minimizes some of the suspicions with other parties.

Was JDT able to find out (or was it JDT herself) how they found out the last ping was at the Shell station? Was it the dealership that looked up the GPS information or was it LE?

Thank you for updating that information.

That I don't know, unfortunately.

Ollie's was within walking distance to her apartment so, prior to getting her car, she walked to & from.
Thank you! So this was the first car she had ever owned?

She walked to and from Ollie’s late at night for her job with no issues. The first night with her car and she goes missing.

I will continue to research more of the technical details today and report back later with what I discover.

No she had previously owned a Chevy Cruze but it was involved in an accident while being driven by another individual (believed to be TT but this is unconfirmed so perhaps VI @cedgison can confirm the situation and also let us know that DV didn't have a car prior to the car she purchased the day she went missing from Pearl Motors).

Note MPD says she was last seen “occupying” her car. They cannot confirm whether or not she was driving.

I don't know if this was the first one she had ever owned or if, as speculated, she had one previously. I have not asked.

Also I’m glad MPD took it upon themselves to provide a public page for Danniella’s disappearance since no one else would.

This is an interesting choice of words. To me there is a big difference in occupying and driving and if they know she was in the car, they know if she was driving or not. MOO

I agree. Or it’s too dark to tell, they just know she got in the car at some point (presumably driving).

Excellent point

Makes sense. Good catch on the word though. I went back to the blog. Did not notice it the first time.

That's interesting! I suppose that applies to where she was last seen, not prior to arriving at the Shell station.

"Danniella was last seen Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in the 3500 block of Government Blvd. wearing a dark-colored Mellow Mushroom shirt, a light-colored hat, and black legging style pants with a light-colored shirt tied around her waist. She was occupying a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz with a Pearl Motors paper tag."

All LE ever said, and they said it publicly, was “the car’s GPS last pinged at the Shell Station near 3550 Government Blvd.”

Any talk of a LoJack were theories based on Pearl Motor’s history. LE merely dispelled a rumor by repeating the same public information they released at the start of the case: the car’s GPS pinged.

LE is not giving a specific unrelated group inside information that has not been publicly released. That’s not how this works. Maybe on TV or in the movies but not in real life.

My thought was a witness reported that she drove into the Shell Station at 3550 Government Blvd. That witness leaves. An unknown car pulls in next to DNV’s car and after 16 minutes, 2 cars drive off but LE cannot confirm who is driving DNV’s car. She may be merely occupying it.

If police cannot say whether Danni was driving the car when she was last seen, then they are definitely considering abduction.

Regarding the child being out of town I think I recall the reporter or JDT stating that in one of the media interviews. She said she (the child) was to return on the Thursday or Friday though, not the Tuesday she disappeared. I’ll see if I can find the link to that interview.

Additionally in the comments of one MSM report, a friend states he gave her rides to work prior to her getting that car.

I too think that confirmation of how often the GPS refreshed is key information. What if she did miss a turn and run in a lake on the way back to Dublin’s.

Just found this interactive map on Danni's website:

Daniella Vian

Looks a bit strange.

"We had amassed over 300 cases that are supporting our missing can be found in the geometry when the gravitational position and pull of the planets is translated over the terrain from point last seen. We are trying to solve the problem with a method of predictability to identify potent whereabouts."

It depends if we believe DW is telling the truth. If she wasn't the one driving then his whole story goes out the window.

It is possible her phone was lost in a struggle and on the way they realized they lost the phone, the driver signaled to him and they stopped at the Shell, and he had to go back for it. (why? is it possible there was evidence on the phone?) Maybe he didn't think he would be seen but after one of the workers gave him the phone he now realizes he had been inserted into the story and had to make up something, call her family, etc.

I was always wondering how could he unlock her phone and call JDT. Now I'm thinking that if it was an iphone it could be opened with a fingerprint so if he is near her / her body he could open it using her finger
