Missing 65-year-old man last seen in Birmingham

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) has requested the public's assistance in locating a missing 65-year-old man.

David Paul Crumley, who may have impaired judgement, was last seen Monday morning at his home in Birmingham.

Anyone who knows where he might be is urged to call 911 or contact JCSO at (205) 325-1450.

Body of missing Grayson Valley man found in woods

GRAYSON VALLEY –A body believed to be that of a missing 65-year-old Grayson Valley man was located about 9:45 a.m. on Saturday in a wooded area near Old Springville Road and Chalkville Mountain Road.

Deputies and volunteers searched for him through the week using drones, a helicopter, and ATV’s.

Around 9:45 a.m., a searcher discovered a male body believed to be Crumley in a wooded area near Old Springville Road and Chalkville Mountain Road.

The remains will be taken to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office for positive identification and to determine the cause of death. Foul play is not suspected.
