Officials say 13-year-old Dayetssi Carrasquillo Pizarro was last seen on 6900 block Martling Road in Albertville with her dog on April 19.

She is described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. Her dog, an “American Bully” breed, is chocolate-colored.

A person of interest has been identified in connection with her disappearance. Raul Alexis Arellano Romero, 32, is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5'8" tall and weighs 135 pounds.

The sheriff's office says Romero has ties to Huntsville, but there are no other details at this time. Authorities say the vehicle description is unknown at this time as well.

In Aug 2024, Raul Arellano Romero of Huntsville, AL, was arrested in VA for kidnapping a 13-year-old girl from Springfield, MA. He met her online and drove to MA to pick her up.

(I just saw this and haven't yet researched to see why he is free 8 months later to allegedly take another 13-year-old girl.)

Virginia police aid in Massachusetts kidnapping case

ETA: I wonder if it is the same 13-year-old girl. The 2024 article says that the girl from MA lives primarily in AL and that was where they originally met. It has been less than a year, so she could have been 13 in Aug 2024 and still be 13 now.

UPDATE: Thirteen-year-old Dayetssi Carrasquillo Pizarro, who was reported missing out of Albertville, has been found in Arizona. The person of interest has been detained.
