Missing senior alert issued for Flomaton woman

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing senior, Eva Lisenby McBride.


McBride is a 74 year-old white female and may be suffering from a condition that may impair her judgement. She was last seen at her residence in the Flomaton area on Nov. 23. Her direction of travel and clothing description is unknown at this time.

According to her family, McBride left behind her car, ID and cellphone and she doesn't suffer from anything like Alzheimer's or dementia.

One of her daughters, Cindy McBride, tells Channel 3 News she lives with McBride but has been out of town for the past three weeks. She's now back home searching for her mother.

Her daughter said Eva was supposed to clean the local church on Saturday morning, and when she did not show up, they knew something was wrong.

It’s Thursday and it has been six days since Eva McBride’s family have last seen their mother.

According to rescue officials they shifted their search movement northbound and still there’s no sign of McBride.

As law enforcement, family members and volunteers try to locate Eva McBride, on Wednesday investigators reported that McBride medical records stated she was diagnosed with dementia.

Investigators say there's no evidence period that foul play has occurred but they're investigating it as a homicide because they do not have an explanation so they are assuming the worst. They say there's also no evidence that points to foul play at the scene.

Investigators say they are getting hundreds of tips and are planning to have more search parties. Investigators say everyone is suspect until she is found.
