large presence of law enforcement from multiple different agencies left from the Enterprise Police Department early Tuesday morning.

They are actively searching in the wooded areas around Meadowbrook Apartments on Apache Drive.

Enterprise police are also asking for help in the search for an alleged friend of Genises’s family named Mariah. Officials did not disclose the mystery woman’s age or last name, but said she was known to be around Levels Bar and Grill in Level Plains.

Police say Mariah could have important information for the case and ongoing search.

BOLO was sent out Monday afternoon, claiming the girl could be in danger.

However, reports from various neighbors indicate that Genises has not been seen in over a month. One neighbor says she noticed a few weeks ago that Genises and her mother had stopped taking routine walks along the neighborhood.

Enterprise Police confirmed that Adrienne Reid, the mother of 2-year-old Genises Nova Reid, was detained on Tuesday and is being held for questioning.

The mother of a toddler girl reported missing Monday morning has been detained by Enterprise police, the department announced today.

The search began about 3 a.m. Monday when the mother of Genises Nova Reid reported that the girl was missing.

The child, authorities said, is either 2 or 3 years old. Police have also spelled her name Genesis.

Yeppers. I am always glad to see the public engaged and sharing missing person info, but LE (IMO) is very aware we have a crime here and I don't mean abduction. They don't need John Q. Public traipsing around in those woods and inadvertently destroying evidence.

Absolutely, I was thinking with how things was handled yesterday they were looking for her body and didnt believe she was alive. It is a very sad situation. I will never understand.

Genises was reported missing today, but neighbors are saying they haven’t seen her since sometime in January.
