Alabama law enforcement issues statewide AMBER alert for missing girl

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation have issued a statewide AMBER alert for a missing girl.

Genisis McCord, 2, was last seen in Pascagoula at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and authorities say she is believed to be in extreme danger.

McCord is described as 2′ tall with an unknown weight, brown eyes, and black hair.

Authorities believe McCord was abducted by Joe Quincy McCord, 28. He is described as 5′ 9″ with brown eyes and black hair.

He may be traveling in a 2018 gray or gold Ford Fusion with Alabama license plate 2CC5166.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued an AMBER ALERT for 2 year old Genesis McCord of Pascagoula, Jackson County, Mississippi.

Genesis is described as a black female, 2 feet tall, unknown weight with brown eyes and black hair. Genesis was last seen about 5:15 p.m. at Bandywood Apartments wearing unknown clothing.

Genesis is accompanied by her father, Joe Quincy McCord. Joe Quincy McCord is described as a black 28-year-old male, 5’9’, 220 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. The vehicle being used is a 2018 tan Ford Fusion bearing Alabama license plate 2CC 5166. McCord is considered armed and dangerous.

According to Pascagoula police, McCord says he gave the child to someone to bring to Pascagoula PD headquarters, but Pascagoula police do not have the child. McCord wouldn’t say who is allegedly bringing the child to police
