I have a feeling the doors were removed because of bullet holes. JMO

I cannot imagine the terror those 3 went through, bless their hearts.

From the transcript:

I wonder what he meant by that. Sounds like things weren't great at home and perhaps the good in their life was the babysitter.

I have a feeling the doors were removed because of bullet holes. JMO

ITA. Maybe the bullet could be conclusively linked to him somehow.

Seems like an odd thing to do - it would have to take awhile, right?

I think he left his car somewhere and after assasinating these three innocent people stole the Mercedes and tried to sell it. Selma and the surrounding towns in west Alabama are known drug dens. There are places you have to drive through, say on the way to Mississippi, where you hold your breath and pray you don't get a flat or break down (Uniontown being one). It does not surprise me in the LEAST that this creep went over to that area to try to dispose of the car.
You hit the nail on the head. I have driven the route before and it is scary. Further, the Minter community, where the car was found, looks to be even more desolate.

Bullets would have to be matched up with a gun, and then the gun to the killer. Not sure LE has a gun at this point to connect it to Lee.

Now there are the bullet casings that "might" have fingerprints or DNA on them. There "might" be bullet casings at the scene or in the car, or even in the missing doors.

It seems odd that three of the four doors are missing.

I don't feel that a "chop shop" was involved, as they would have destroyed the entire vehicle in no time at all.

I am completely puzzled about those car doors. I agree, if it was a chop shop they would have stripped the vehicle not just taken the doors. Unless that's all the further they got before they found the car. Looking at Minter on google maps it's out in the middle of no where.

I don't think the doors were removed to try and cover up evidence. I don't see this guy doing that.

He's definately not working alone.

But sadly they probably have the bullets, no?
I hope and pray these 3 innocent souls have been able to give evidence even in their deaths that will make certain that IF this POI is guilty, no jury will find reasonable doubt of his guilt THIS time.

Maybe the bullets might be linked to another crime in addition to this horror?

This is one case where I think a reward for info would help. If his associates are anything like he is, they would turn him in fast for some cash. No honor among thieves.

eta: Looking at his pic, his features are so non-descript, I almost think it would have to be someone who knows him that would give his location. I sure don't think I could identify him if I saw him out and about.

Could he have removed the doors looking for cash? My dad was an ole timer and he always kept cash at home - didn't completely trust the banks. He even had some buried in the yard.

  • #571
Chop shop involvement which means some thugs behind a crack house with some tools. Somebody's gonna talk. Justice will be served.

I hope so.

I wish there was a reward for this guy. It would get people talking real fast.

I've never heard of anyone hiding cash in a car. Unless it was a small stash of emergency money.

My guess is the doors were taken off because the perp is trying to hide evidence.

I'd really like to know what the relationship is between the perp and the childrens family. And if the kids were with Mr. Girdner because someone feared for their safety... and if so, how did the perp know to go after Mr. Girdner?

  • #574
He's a dangerous, armed and cruel child murderer. I pray they find him soon and take in a SWAT team to take him down so no more lives are lost but his, if he so chooses.

Cubby, those are the questions I've had from the get-go! I think there's gonna be some shocks to come but I sure hope not.

  • #576
I hope the locals are laying low and staying safe. Because he is very desperate if he is still around there. He will kill for a car or a place to hide.

  • #577
It could be thieves took the doors, and then after that they found out that this car is hot so they stopped, or he sold the doors for cash to someone he knew at an autobody shop. Bus money? Trade in for a hoopty?

Taken off to by time to get away, thinking LE will look for those doors and not focus as hard on him?

Or did he just freak out?

So...we still aren't completely positive about motive yet?

None confirmed that I am aware of. Speculation only, but I'm expecting a motive similiar to that of the perp who killed Jennifer Hudson's family. Sadly. :(
