A local news reporter will be on NG tonight in 15 minutes. Maybe NG will keep some of the facts straight annnnnnnnnnnd maybe not. :D

That reporter, Krista Littlefield, has been the best one reporting this case. I hope to God it is not taped. I have faith in her telling it right....I just hope this is a RARE live show.

I still don't understand picking the children up at midnight considering there was school the next day.

Was the mother working on Sunday?

I watched an aquaintance's children while she went to break up with her "abusive boyfriend". She didn't know how he was going to react, so she didn't want the little ones there. Unfortunately, she didn't have anyone close to her who could do it and knew I had kiddos her children's ages. She didn't show up for almost 10 hours. I was in a panic; didn't know if I should call 911 or just wait.

Turns out that she went out with a friend for drinks after breaking up and moving his stuff out. She left her cellphone in the car and "didn't think to call".

I hope that something similiar didn't happen in this situation. If so, I doubt she'll ever forgive herself.

Especially with the "getting married" statements in the comments. When and what time did mom do the "odd" PC? TIA

From the link above, he has only been out of jail since March 2011. Just over a year later, here we are looking for the same guy. Grrrr!! Please let them find him quickly. These cases make me sick to my stomach!

I wonder how those jurors feel today? Of course, we don't know what evidence they saw, what evidence was kept from them, etc. We don't know why they cam to the decision they did. But, whoever is to blame for letting a killer back on to the streets - I hope they are suffering some for their decision today. I'm sorry.

I am fuming!! It's not enough this little pipsqueek was accused of murder in 2008, now he's taken 3 innocent lives...two children and a man trying to do the right thing.
I wonder if he feels like a "big man" now!??

They won't like a baby killer in prison. What kind of monster murders two babies and an old man? For what? A car? I don't care the reason, give me a break. Two babies and an old man. It's appalling.

I know mom is the victim here, and I am trying to sit on my hands....:furious: .... but seriously. Was there a good reason to allow a 21 yr old 🤬🤬🤬🤬, who was out on bond, and accused of a double murder, to move into her home with her two young innocents? Is anyone else getting sick of hearing about live-in boyfriends who slaughter their girlfriends children?

That has not been confirmed. Up thread, I heard two different addresses for the suspect and the mother. Mr. Girdner faced some awful speculation, I'd hate for a rumour to cause the same to happen to mom if it's untrue.

I asked someone that question at work today and she told me mom had left kids with him all afternoon to "get her hair done" But I do not know anyone that does hair until midnight...:waitasec:

Black hair can take that long. It can take hours, depending on what is being done, like certain weaves.

Here is the article about the not guilty verdict from the 2008 murder.

http://www.wakacbs8.com/news/west-alabama-news/6539-not-guilty-verdict-in-selma-murder-trial.html

This makes me sick!
whoa! This article is dated March 24, 2011. So this creep sat in jail for 2-3 years w/o bond. Then the jury let him off. And here we are a year later and he was arrested AGAIN and bonded out and now 2 children and an elderly man are dead.

I wish I had never seen that defense attorney's name and his comment.

If they met at church, I would expect all of them to be at church on Sunday morning.

The mother's last name is different from the twins, and the mother's husband is deceased (IIRC), so is it known whether the deceased husband is the bio-father of the twins?

Point of fact, he was released after he was found not guilty. Then he was turned over to the other county, where he was wanted on a warrant for a burglary charge. So he wasn't a free man until that county released him on bond. That was in February, I believe. It states that on the Vinelink report.

It has been stated in the media that their bio-dad is deceased so I am assuming so. Maybe she remarried & divorced afterwards?

Okay, help me out here. I am confused.

This article is dated March 24, 2011 It appears to be reported immediately after the NG verdict on the prior murder charges.

What burglary charge are you talking about? I am only aware of some weapons violations for which he is now out on bond. Is there also a burglary charge? And when?
