GUILTY AL - Jack Girdner, 73, & DeJerinett twins, 9, found murdered, Hope Hull, 3 June 2012

Possibly they misunderstood and someone called him about seeing his house on Sunday afternoon...the suspect possibly???

It was through a realtor...so he prolly took the kids somewhere if it was to be shown.....or open house. ??

Other comments under the news articles stated that Mr. Girdner had mild memory problems. Elderly people with memory problems who don't have a financial guardian can quickly be drained of their money.

I wonder who posted his bond.
In articles about his first arrests, his mom was found living in a motel, so I doubt she had a lot of cash or a home to put up for his bail.

Mods - if inappropriate please delete but..I'm sorry, but I am just not sure, JMO, that there wasn't someone REALLY close involved. Follow the money and relationships.

The whole house thing is an interesting tidbit. Where did that come from again? He may have been buying a house for the kids. Did he make a cash withdrawal? Perhaps the perp knew the money was in an account and shot Girtner because he refused to give the man access to the account.

There is a lot that isn't clear right now. We really don't know motive yet at all. And that leaves for some wild speculation.

Unfortunately, I'm working on a city council story tonight and can't spend much time on this case. I had to turn off the TV during the HLN show. I broke down when I saw the photos of the kids and Girtner. They all looked so sweet, kind and happy.

I am still wondering where the twins' mom worked?

It sounds to me, that she was taking advantage of his willing to watch the children.
That would not be aweful normally-but when all are murdered, that would put me, in the hospital too.
Plus, for me, I would be guilt ridden: for the rest of my life.
I hope that Mom. Is a good Mom, and that she had a good reason to not show up to pick up her children at Midnight. *If we are to believe, what the media has set forth.

I asked someone that question at work today and she told me mom had left kids with him all afternoon to "get her hair done" But I do not know anyone that does hair until midnight...:waitasec:

I am seeing my own 80+year old dad who took others' children under his wing and died peacefully in his sleep. And I am envisioning LOTS of ugliness coming. Hugs and love to all.

I've been lurkiing here and my heart is in pieces over this case. This is an evil monster who killed an elderly gentleman and two children. If mom was seeing this creature, I can't begin to imagine the guilt she must be feeling now. I pray she didn't know about his record.

If she did, all I can ask is why she would subject her children to being anywhere near him.

I do have a feeling that this case will develop some nasty twists. For now, I want him captured and jailed. Jail and prison are really to good for him.

Ya. I envision some twists, too. For now, I'll settle for this guy turning himself in. This is a volatile situation, and he's liable to hurt or kill someone else to avoid arrest.

Was he divorced....or did his wife pass? She was 57 iirc.

I am really concerned with this animal's history that he will stand armed against the police when he is found by them. I certainly hope not but his history is evil.

This is a Death Penalty case and he probably knows that. He is not going to be giving up easy, imo.

On NG, it was mentioned that Deandra's bond cost was $10,000. That's quite a bit of money to shell out. I wonder who put it up?

Just found a person living at the same addy as perp has ties to Hayneville and Hope Hull. Male and female.

Also got a male, JM, mid 40's living at the same addy as mother. ??? Could that be landlord rather than someone living there with her?

ETA: Ties to FL. for JM. Mother has lived in Michigan also.

He only needed 10% = $1, 000.00

I really hope it was not Mr. Jack's money

It would only be 10% on a $10,000.00 bond.

A bondsman would require 10%. Even then he had to come up with at least $1,000.

No disrespect to anyone else involved as of yet, but I seriously doubt the perp or Terrye Moore had quick access to even that amount. I dunno...I know when the perp was in trouble in 2008 his own mother was living in a hotel so unless someone in his family has had a streak of good fortune since, I doubt that his immediate family helped.

God help me for saying this, but I am hoping that either he is in a gang and had some connections or drug dealer connections that had some cash.
