He had time, JMO, to drive and dump the car and then return to get his...he coulda hidden his. They weren't reported missing for quite a few hours.

They have not mentioned another car!

Random observation - this guy sure has a lot of problems involving disputes in cars or involving cars....

I think he has issues with guns!

So we have 4 guys in a car.
2 guys shot and killed.
1 guy shot but lives.
1 not injured at all.

Survivor accuses guy 4 of shooting him and the other two.
Guy 4 says "the survivor did it, wasn't me!"

So the jury believes or has doubt that guy 4 who was NOT injured... was not the perp? :waitasec:
Were the survivors injures ones that looked self inflicted? Because I don't understand otherwise.

I'm sure his defense will involve "self defense" or something this time around. Something that makes him look like the good guy or hero.

That and cold hearted. That's why I'm kind of hesitant to think that he was mad at the mother until I get more information.

I'm getting the feeling he was so messed up that the fact they were children didn't mean a thing to him. He will just kill anyone in his way.

Anyone assisting him is just as cold or in danger.

Maybe someone else offed him already.

I'd really like to know what the relationship is between the perp and the childrens family. And if the kids were with Mr. Girdner because someone feared for their safety... and if so, how did the perp know to go after Mr. Girdner?

In the article that I read from the neighbor, it says that Mr. G was a babysitter for 3 years. That doesn't sound like he was just trying to keep the kids safe. It sounds like he honestly was just trying to help out this mom and these kids. He likely babysat for free. That would certainly help a single working mom.

fwiw, I think the ABI is correct and that he is still in Selma. Selma is not a large town. I do believe somebody is hiding him out. I doubt he is hiding in the woods or anything. I don't believe he is going to be able to leave that area. LE swarming that place. I have a feeling they are closing in. I don't think he is going to give himself up peacefully though. This guy has nothing to lose and I don't think he will be apprehended w/o a fight. Just hope there will be no hostages involved and FGS, no one else has to die. Well, unless it is him. Even then, I hope he is taken alive.

Praying that he is apprehended today.

This reminds me of the recent story of Joann Bain and the perp that killed her and her daughter. He was hiding out very close to home. He was able to hide for longer than I would have thought possible. In the end, he killed himself rather than be taken. I think the same thing could happen here. I just hope that everyone in that town stays safe in the meantime!!

What bothers me the most is that there were 2 witnesses that ID'd him as the killer. One of the witnesses died and one survived. I wonder what in the world the jury heard that made a difference.

If I happened to be the cop that located him and he resisted, which he will, he wouldn't be going in front of a judge ever again. ;)

I think he was trying to get revenge on the mother. If all he wanted to do was rob the man, he could have followed him after the kids were dropped off, and it would have been much easier.

So depressingly preventable

..........and Mr. Girder was Dr. Girdner, a retired anesthesiologist who was likely thought to have lots of money. Terrya attended his church and likely knew he had a very high income before his retirement.

Thank you for the link confirming that he indeed was a retired anesthesiologist! I had heard that but had not seen confirmation. I did see the info where he & his wife lived in California and, IIRC, both had insurance licenses - so I was very confused about what he really did for a living while in CA.

Some info on the Lowndes County DA who filed the murder charges -

This is very close to "home" for me, so to speak. For years the DA for Lowndes & Butler Counties was John Andrews. He just so happens to be the brother-in-law of one of my co-workers. Early this year he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer (:()and retired just a couple of months ago. Charlotte Tesmer took his place.

I asked my co-worker who has lived in the area all of her life to give me the scoop on Ms. Tesmer. I have only lived in this small town a year now so I don't know the inside dish on these folks as well as those who have been around all their lives. (And boy do they know everything about everybody around here! LOL) The first thing she did was laugh. She said, "In a word, she is a tough, no nonsense b****." I said, well I'm asking because I am concerned that being so new she might be in over her head here with this case. She laughed again and said, "ha! nothing to worry about there girlfriend. The only one who should be worried is that guy when they finally catch him" She said that Tesmer was served as chief deputy DA for over 10 years and she is tough as nails. Assured me that she would not hesitate for a second to seek the DP and would fight like hell to make sure it was imposed.

I felt a whole lot better after talking to her and my bosses here. They all agree that Ms. Tesmer is this guys worst nightmare.

we shall see. just wanted to share a bit of office gossip. ;)

Somebody must be hiding him. I hope they up the reward amount soon. Everybody has their price. Especially for a babykiller.

I wonder where all his family is located?

He should have been in prison!
