I am just guessing. But maybe he sold it to a chop/shop and they were tearing it down,but then they found out it was part of a crime scene, involving the cold blooded murder of three innocents,and they hightailed it away from the car at that point.

Maybe he took the kids as leverage and then shot them all? I wish LE would release info on whether Dr. Girder's checking account was emptied.

Several posters under news articles stated that Dr. Girdner had helped them financially in addition to this mom. IF true, this is worrisome because many people knew he had extra cash.

I have been told that he was helping pay some things for the mom and kids.

Well the doors on these cars are usually left unlocked.
easy enuff to take the doors off and sell them I think Hoods and doors are easy to tke off and easy to sell.

Very random here and probably not the least bit important, however I Google's remove doors on stolen car and there were a few articles from 2012, not in the area, that said jeep doors were being targeted for stealing. They were easy to pop off. I'm pretty sure there are no vin numbers on the doors, anyone know?

Maybe it was as simple as the cops were closing in and he just took the doors to a chop shop type place?

So yea, I agree...just the fact they were there and easy to remove.

As I said very random just interesting that was the first couple links to pop up.

The drivers door on a lot (I don't know if all) vehicles has the VIN number on it. I'm sure they know how to alter it though.

And poor Mr. Girdner! I wish we had a better picture of him instead of just a DL photo.

It's horrible. I think this evil demon simply decided to rob an old, rich white guy (in his mind). He saw him around, in three different cars, probably thought he had money stashed away. I think the kids were just collateral damage to him. He may have thought Mr. Girdner wouldn't fight if he was in the mode of protecting two babies.

Can you imagine the horror of it? Mr. Girdner surely knew exactly what happened as he and the babies were forced from the car by this criminal. He might have berated the criminal, or tired to reach out to him through God, or begged him to spare the kids. But I'm very sure he hugged those babies and tried to protect them.

Oh, how I wish I could see this monster, face to face, when he's caught. I would love to just yell in his face, "Was it worth it, you loser? Was it worth it, a$$hole? Two beautiful babies? A sweet, elderly man? Oh, you're one big, tough banger, aren't you? Babies and the elderly. Wow, so tough: '🤬🤬🤬🤬 life 4 eva!', huh?" And then I wish someone would just take him out behind the jail and shoot him dead.

The kind of person who would cold-bloodedly murder little babies and old men, wow. He should not live and we shouldn't have to pay for his housing. (And I am anti-death penalty for the most part, but come on'!)

I don't agree. There has not been a MSM article or LE statement that the mom was involved with this criminal. One of the articles up thread quoted neighbors who stated Mr. Girdner was seen repeatedly, driving three different cars to pick up and drop off the babies.

I am glad that the reward amount is rising. It won't take a long time, imo, for his "friends" to take the money and run. He won't be out here long. jmo
Please lay off the mom until we know there is something there. She just lost her two darling children. thanks

On the site I was just watching the mother's (of 2008 victim) interview, I noticed the side bar that had the headline '10k reward for the arrest and conviction' .. Saying they won't get it until and WHEN he is convicted?

:( Just catching up. Impossible to look into the faces of those two cherubs and not tear up. I feel so awfully unbelievably guilty for assuming the worst about Mr. Girdner. His life was needlessly taken, but I won't let it be in vain...I will always remember this case before I immediately jump to conclusions by a headline.

RIP to all 3 of them and love to the victims families.

This is just so.sad.

Concerning husbands suicide: One of the posters (a few threads back) stated she lives on the same street as them and definitely knows the husband killed himself but she was young and doesn't remember much.. I was thinking (assuming you're at least 15 :) ) this article may not be online. Could be 15 maybe even 20+ years ago. Just thinking.

I am just sooo very angry about this perp....very angry and frustrated.

What a major FAIL that this man was ever on the streets.
I say if you are in a gang and that gang is connected to a violent crime, then every member goes to jail. No bail, no bond, no probation. Then, if we find that a certain individual actually murdered or threatened to murder someone, then they receive the death penalty. Its pretty simple. If we did this and held to it, then gang activity would diminish....if for no other reason than most gangs would be arrested. Now I know this is ridiculous because we don't have enough jail space for all these low-lifes. So in order to make more space, let's reduce the number of appeals a murderer can use for years on end...and let's put the death penalty back into frequent action.

I think everyone in America should have to see these crimes and read here. This world would change in short order...because these perps are so violent. I hate to say this, because it goes against my faith, but I truly believe there are some people who are unredeemable. There is simply no hope for them. They are pure evil...and they should be put to death.

Wake up, America....these crazy people are killing our most vulnerable citizens!

OK...trying to calm down now. Just feel like ranting against everything tonight.

If I recall, the deceased husband was the twins' father. So it'd have to have been less than 10 years ago.

I've been following from the beginning as I just moved from the NW to Alabama last week. I am fully convinced someone pi**ed off this 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and he went after those kids. No robbery motive needed. MOO I pray he is found quickly.

For some reason I thought the perp was caught, but media must have shown an earlier arrest. So, he is still on the loose?
