James Anthony Jenkins (B/M), 73yoa, has been missing from the are of Poplar Street in Scottsboro, AL since Tuesday, May 13, 2025, around 4:00 PM.

He was last seen wearing:
• Blue short-sleeve T-shirt
• Red sweatpants with a white stripe
• Black tennis shoes

James has dementia, and his family is very concerned for his safety.

Family, police still searching for missing 73-year-old Scottsboro man

James Jenkins was last seen on a neighbor’s ring camera around 6:37 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13th.

Officers and family members have searched on foot and by air to try and locate Jenkins, who also goes by Tony.

His cousin, Cassie Jenkins, was one of the last people to see him. She says he would go on walks or ride his bike all the time, but he would always come home.

His family and officers have been searching on foot for three days now. Durham (PD spokesperson) said they are going to try new methods to try and find Jenkins.

Scottsboro Police Lieutenant Coty Durham confirmed that 73-year-old James “Tobey” Jenkins was found dead Saturday morning in the Scottsboro area.
An exact location on where he was found was not released.
