Why on Earth would there be "unusual explosive devices" on the property? It doesn't sound like a safe place for a child.

Hope this little one is found safe with his dog by his side.

This is concerning. I wonder when the last independent sighting of him was prior to Dec 31 AM?

Per Sheriff update. Six year old brother said last time he saw his brother he went under the fence. Which evidently they are not supposed to do. Brother went back to tell his dad..

Still haven’t found the dog or Jonathan.

Law-enforcement has a search warrant for the home, but haven’t been able to search yet because there are explosives in the home and out into the woods.

The sheriff also said that a nearby neighbor is used to seeing the dog nearly every day on a deer cam, but hasn't seen him since the 26th. Dog is named Buck.

Assuming the way it's worded it's not fireworks. JMO Poor kiddo! Hope he's found today along with his dog.

I hope this brothers timeline is accurate, he's six so hopefully he has his days straight, especially since the neighbors haven't seen the dog since Dec 26th on their webcams.

Volunteers gathered Wednesday morning at Cornerstone Assembly of God north of Manchester in Walker County. (They have to mean Thursday.)

Smith said they are going to organize search groups and resume searches.

“Looks like we got a couple hundred people here that we’re going to be able to utilize today to do a significant ground search,” Smith said, adding that the lack of a heat signature would suggest Johnathan is not in the woods or is under some kind of structure. “I encourage people that live in this vicinity to make sure they’re searching their vehicles or searching the garages or searching their carports. Anything that a child could be hiding under that we might not have gotten to yet.”

I kept reading thinking I was coming up to a post that said he'd been found. But apparently he's still out there after being out all night. Oh, please don't let this be bad. At least his dog is with him.

“Neighbors have identified that there’s been a lot of explosions in the neighborhood,” Smith said. “Prior to us being here, the morning before we got out here, there was a report at about four in the morning of a loud explosion.”

While no live explosives have been found outside on the property, Smith said there is “evidence that they have had some type of bomb type materials and that have exploded in the on the property.”

That doesn't sound good at all! IMO

Jameson Kyle Boley, 40, is charged with unlawful manufacturing of a destructive device or bacteriological or biological weapon, Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said Thursday.

*****
Johnathan Everett Boley lives with his mother in Florida but was with his father in Alabama for a five-day visitation, along with his 6-year-old brother. The boys were set to return to the mother on Thursday, but instead Johnathan disappeared, Smith said.

*****
Johnathan’s mother, Angel Boley, is the guest services director at DaySpring Camp and Conference Center, which is an Episcopal retreat facilty. She previously worked at Camp McDowell in Alabama.

She has since traveled back to Alabama following her son’s disappearance.

*****
A prayer service for Johnathan is set for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Chapel in Florida.
