He owns/operates an HVAC company, last active filing was in 2021. Not sure what he's been doing for the last four years?

That's why I said earlier regarding the explosives - he may have been in EOD in the military. I wonder if he suffers from PTSD? Trying to find more info.

The explosives on the property and the apparent custody situation has me thinking of Susan Powell and her boys. Very happy to hear Johnathan’s brother is safe and really hoping he will turn up safe too. The disappearance of the dog as well has me very (very) tentatively hopeful maybe he really did just wander off and may still be found alive and okay.

Per Sheriff update. Six year old brother said last time he saw his brother he went under the fence. Which evidently they are not supposed to do. Brother went back to tell his dad..

Still haven’t found the dog or Jonathan.

Law-enforcement has a search warrant for the home, but haven’t been able to search yet because there are explosives in the home and out into the woods.

I hope their dad didn’t get angry with Johnathan disobeying him by going under the fence (if he did) and harm him

I'm hoping there wasn't an accident and JB/dog were injured by an explosive device/material. Now that they have charged and arrested him. Maybe LE will get to the bottom of what happened, MOO.

Johnathan Everett Boley lives with his mother in Florida but was with his father in Alabama for a five-day visitation, along with his 6-year-old brother. The boys were set to return to the mother on Thursday, but instead Johnathan disappeared, Smith said.

Johnathan was last seen about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 7000 block of Highway 195 in Jasper. His brother told authorities he last saw Johnathan near the woods line going under a fence and went to tell his father.

Smith said law enforcement received the call shortly before 12:30 p.m. and arrived at the home by 1 p.m. As they cleared the house to make sure Johnathan wasn’t inside, they discovered explosives and had to back out for safety reasons.

Now that the mom is there, she might be able to get more information out of the 6yo. Poor little guy must have been frightened with his brother missing, his father taken away, and all of the LE personnel at the property. He would have been taken to a strange place, surrounded by strangers, and it's possible he might have not felt comfortable to talk freely in that atmosphere. I'm sure he was happy to see his mom!

Would love to know when mom last spoke with her boys, that will be the most accurate timeline to work from, imo. I'm still hopeful that Jonathan and Buck are lost and will be found soon!

According to our sources there are an unknown amount of these devices in the woods around surrounding the home.

The search is continuing for Boley police say so far no signs of the child have been found.

Divers will be brought in to search some ponds around the house. Volunteers who were searching were sent home for the night.

Deputies were planning to execute a search warrant at the father's home, but called off that search after finding what they called "unusual explosive devices" on the property.
