LE has eight locations "across the street" where explosives have been located? What the heck?

Also says a neighbor sees the dog every afternoon on his game camera at the corn feeder, hasn't seen the dog since the afternoon of the 26th.

Is he being cooperative? Sheriff can't answer that, the FBI interviewed him last night and is going to speak to him again today.

Any indication something criminal has occurred in JB's disappearance? Sheriff says it's too early to tell. But with all the ground and air searches and he still hasn't been found, it's really concerning.
Not seeing the dog says a lot imo if accurate

Moo...maybe the dog was not wandering because the children were keeping the dog busy, while visiting..moo

what on earth was ole boy doing with these pipe bombs? I know a lot of folks, former military, LEOs, prepper types, I even knew a elderly guy (RIP) we called dynamite Joe who had served time in prison for making dynamite. But I've never known a dude who made pipe bombs and had them laying around.

What?

well, the boy was there for a 5-day visitation that was supposed to end on the 31st. so it began on the 26th. and that's the day the neighbor's cameras last caught the dog.

sounds like the dog lives with the dad on this property. if it hasn't been seen since the 26th, maybe that's because it was playing or hanging out with johnathan the whole time, instead of running down by the corn feeder? or his schedule was otherwise disrupted? so it's possible not seeing the dog since the 26th is innocuous. it's only them being missing as of the 31st that is definitely bad, given what we know so far.

curious to hear more about the last time the mom or anyone else talked to johnathan. and whether the 6yo amends his statement.

The photo of the apparent "pipe bomb," looks like a random piece of PVC pipe packed with dirt. If PVC is considered "bomb making materials," I hope LE has more evidence than that.
Pipe bombs can be made of pvc, and then the pvc becomes shrapnel. They explode differently than a metal pipe bomb from what I have read. But what they are showing is new to me. All the ones I have seen have a cap on them, but I acknowledge my experience with actual "bombs" ends with an accidental exploding soda bottle. (Root beer fermented too long, stretched the plastic bottle, poof. I don't recommend it, it was dangerous).

I cannot imagine an open end pvc bomb out in the weather not ending up an issue what with the sun and the wet and things maybe dropping on it.

I'm still hoping that this is somehow a case of him wandering and not yet being found. It doesn't sound like it would have been hard for him to do so, if the dog was free to roam to the neighbour's property on a daily basis. Perhaps Buck wandered off somewhere and Johnathan followed him?

looks to me like it got below freezing last night. not good. if it's a wandering off situation, even with a loyal lab cuddling with him...

What’s the weather like during the day and night time? Would he be making shelter or hide? Scared for the lil guy. God Speed finding him

And how loyal is that lab if he only sees that boy at most 5 days a year?

internet says it's been clear but got down into the 20s F last night. during the day it had been up in the 50s or 60s, which (assuming it's true that he wandered off on the 31st during the day) is presumably what he was dressed for.

i don't imagine a 5yo even thinking to make a shelter, letting alone doing a good job of it. the best hope for him IMO is if he laid down in a pile of leaves, and the dog cuddled with him.

even so, we're on the second night now, and it's getting down close to freezing again.

Sorry. I didn’t mean he actually made shelter. More likely that he found some sort of shelter. Maybe lay under a fallen tree or found an empty shed or something. Idk moo

I won’t forget a case I followed here where the child was found 5 miles from where he went missing on the fourth day. If he’s in the woods, I hope they are looking far enough out.

Post in thread 'TX - Christopher Ramirez, 3, followed dog into woods, dog came back, Grimes Co, 6 Oct 2021'

I've been thinking this too (hoping the search area is wide enough, that is). This case from earlier this year REALLY opened my eyes to just how far even really young children can manage to wander very quickly. This boy was only 2 at the time and managed to get "nearly seven miles" from his house in just one night! Found safely thankfully- by a dog named Buford who lived on another property. ♥︎

500 acres in two days, impressive. We know little ones can hide well, but that's discouraging to hear. Wonder how much of that was from the air?

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public to stop searching for a missing 4-year-old believed to be in danger because of explosives and booby traps found on the property in the area.

Officials are still continuing the search. Agencies have been using drones and tracking dogs to search for the boy. A helicopter from Montgomery is also being used.
