I hadn't thought of a exersaucer, I thought it was one of these.

my kids had those as littles. I loved them because they were collapsible and could be tucked away when not in use.
I also thought the chair looked like a papasan chair. Quite comfy and portable, but you definitely need good core strength and regular muscle development to stand up in one as a young child. Personally, I would not allow a child of this age to stand up in one like this as the risk of falling is too high for.me.

The first picture we saw of K was in what appeared to be an "exersaucer"/baby stander/walker, but that later one definitely looks like a Papasan chair, which he might or might not have been capable of standing in independently.

Collins is a victim of his own making. It's always someone else's fault, I can easily see him perpetually gaslighting Pam, the kids, & her Dad. Example - read the pinned post here Pam Bailey. This was from when they were still living in LA. I think he worked for Miller Roofing in Jasper for a bit after they moved, but didn't last long - he never did.

JMO, he was a tweaker. Like some of you, I think there is a chance Pam was a victim of Collins. He likely thought she was going to either leave, or tell someone what happened to Kahleb. Hopefully one day, we'll learn the truth.

Law enforcement has already said they have more info they were going to release soon. I think they have a pretty good idea on exactly what happened here

K.C. is Kahleb's Great Aunt on his mother's side. She called Kahleb's deceased father "a sadistic, narcissist, evil person that preyed on a young woman."

These poor kids never seem to be smiling in any photo that has been publicly released. JMO

Any word on how mom is doing? I heard she was awake a few days ago now, but no word on her condition or if she is talking with the authorities.

does Kahleb appear to be standing in the chair in the photo above to anyone else? I thought he was reported to have been not crawling or walking? I would think standing would happen somewhere between those two developmental markers?
He is standing in a one of those round chairs. There is an adult right there with him. I never believed the story about him not being able to crawl or walk.

no updates to this case in the past 24 hours and zero updates on Pam Bailey's condition in the past week or if she is cooperating with authorities. :( all we know is that on the 19th it was reported that several days prior Pam regained consciousness. After that, crickets.

Has anyone located/posted the charging documents for K’s grandfather?

“Kahleb's grandfather who lived with the couple was charged with failing to report a missing child. He remains in the county jail on a $100,000 bond. Court documents reveal law enforcement believes Kahleb was seriously hurt and moved from the family home.

I don't think LE or any news outlets have ever shared the actual charging documents- at least I've never seen them and don't believe they've ever been posted here in this thread (unless I missed them being posted here?)
The most I've seen in terms of direct quotes from a portion of the charging documents were from the AL.com article 12/17/2024 that was shared here the same day which only had a bit more than the abc3340 article you quoted:
"The criminal complaint states Bailey “failed to report a missing child by delaying to make or failing to cause to be made the report with willful and reckless disregard for the safety of the child and the child suffered serious bodily harm or death, to wit: physical injuries to the child and the child was removed from the home and taken to an unknown location and no report was made by any resident of the home.”

I have been wondering if, after Pam regained consciousness, she was then placed in a medically induced coma in order to allow her physical injuries to more fully heal before allowing her to be alert/conscious?

I had a friend who was involved in a motorcycle wreck two years ago. He was kept in such a state for several weeks for that reason. He had among his other injuries massive head trauma, he wasn't capable of understanding his own condition or the need to remain still. He was confused and combative and kept trying to remove tubes and IVs.

Could Pam Bailey be in a similar state which might explain the report of regaining consciousness but no further word on if she has provided any sort of information to LE?

I wish we knew what grandpa John is saying, if anything.

somehow I think I missed this update til now.

Court records reveal defense attorneys for the grandfather of missing toddler Kahleb Collins are seeking access to confidential state records surrounding the family and potential child abuse claims.

Subpoenas filed in court ask for all DHR records pertaining to Steven Brad Collins, Wendy Pamela Bailey, Ryleigh and Kahleb Collins regarding possible abuse/neglect since January 2024.
Defense attorney for grandfather of missing toddler subpoenas DHR and police records

the judge has sealed the CPS records and will review them to determine what, if anything, is relevant to John's case before deciding if he should allow the subpoenaed records to be turned over to the defense attorney.

That article also confirms Ryleigh wasnt restrained during the crash

I would imagine that's what led to the criminally negligent homicide charges, even though she wasn't the one driving. She had an equal responsibility to see that her child was restrained safely.

Now isn't that just nice.. She survived, Dad's dead, so she's going to carry the penalty.
