BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A search is underway for a missing child in Birmingham.

The Birmingham Police Department said 4-year-old Kamari Nelson was last seen Monday, October 9 at Children's Hospital with her biological mother Kiana Lashun Armer.

Police said Armer does not have custody of Nelson. Armer is described as a Black female, 5'9" in height and weighs around 326 pounds.

Police said Armer may be driving a black Ford Expedition tag# JGS532 or a white Chrysler Sebring with an unknown tag number.

Nelson was last seen wearing a pink long sleeve shirt with a silver heart in the middle, gray leggings, pink, purple and white cheetah pattern coat and black tennis shoes with white trim.
