O/T but here in Canada, Ontario and Quebec a human trafficking ring was stopped. 31 people charged facing over 300 charges!!!

That’s a prostitution ring. When people move state to state being sold by pumps or selling themselves its human trafficking. Often these are immigrant women and/or voluntary prostitutes. Sometimes runaway or at risk teens are caught up in it.

The mythical child sex rings involving a sophisticated trade network of child sex slaves doesn’t really exist. Yes, occasionally you’ll get a person who kidnaps a child and then hands them off to someone else. That’s considered trafficking. And there’s have been random cases of resorts used by pedophiles and predators who lure at risk older kids there to abuse.

In this case my sense is this child was kidnapped, raped and murdered.

Sorry for all the short, uneventful posts but just want to keep those who can't listen clued in on what's going on. Reporter on the scene said that all those "spectators" that I mentioned in another comment he saw earlier standing outside their apartments, inside the police tape barrier, have now dispersed and (he assumes) been told to go back into their apartments.

ETA: reporter also said there are many many different agencies on scene.

An officer from the ABC 33/40 feed just put crime scene tape he was carrying around back in his vehicle.

Confirmed by reporter on scene who verified with police that the women in this photo are cupcakes grandmother and great grandmother. I took this photo from my television screen.

I wonder if the tip was that Cupcake was seen at the complex, but perhaps she's no longer there? It seems to me that if the police believed Cupcake was being held in an apartment there, they wouldn't allow people to mill around, or even go back to the their own apartments. If they're expecting to have to kick in a door and charge in armed, that would put residents in other apartments at risk.

I'm not feeling like this is a rescue mission (I hope I'm wrong). Perhaps it's an evidence/information gathering event. My mind isn't quite ready to go to a darker place.

I don't know if they live in the apartments but the livestream I'm watching has a huge hoard of people kept away from the apartments behind caution (Or crime scene?) tape.
